More Birds Bird Health+ Ruby Hummingbird Feeder, Glass Hummingbird Feeders for Outdoors, 4 Feeding Stations, 10 Ounces, Ruby Red

I've got a pair feeders with metal bases. Dang things are all tarnished and rusty inside and out after only two seasons. So I got one of these. Love this thing. Seems very well made. Good fitment between all pieces. Base is fully plastic, so no opportunity for rust or corrosion. Cleans easy. I like the glass bottle as well. There's a reason this is the number one seller on Amazon. It's a great feeder. I have a high feeder in the yard and a lower one on a shepherd's hook type thing. The hummingbirds have always preferred the high one. I replaced the low one, mostly because it's easier to get to. The birds are definitely favoring the new one. I already have a second one in my cart. I hope this review is helpful to you in making your hummingbird feeder purchase. Take care. :) Update (May 2024): I don't know what it is with the darned flies this year in San Antonio, TX, but they are bad. They have been crawling down into the sugar water. Gross! Was trying to come up with some 3D printable or off the shelf solution and came up empty. So got to thinking about what may work. I have some 24G stainless steel wire. Chucked it up in a drill and twisted it to give it some rigidity. Cut little short pieces at a slight angle to make the ends sharp. Popped out each "flower" and each rubbery piece. Ran that little wire across the lumen right under the rounded rim of the purple piece kinda right at the white flower/purple rim interface) and clipped it. Uploaded a pic. Can see the newly added thin wire running horizontally across the port. Of course, was concerned the birds wouldn't be able to get their beaks into the good stuff. So filled them up a bit, let the fluid settle, then marked the fill line on the bottle, and waited. Good news, the feeders were getting hit. Better news, after an hour or so, the fluid level was noticably lower. Pretty happy how it turned out. Will see how it does to prevent the danged flies from getting in there. Still a five star feeded. Much more action on these than my old ones, but the access ports perhaps could be a little narrower or have a bug guard designed into them.

I almost never leave reviews but this product is a pleasure to recommend. I have purchased so many hummingbird feeders over the years and each one failed in form or function. I did my research before buying another one and decided to give this a try. I am so happy I did. This thing really is perfect. It has only 3 pieces that come apart to make it easy to fill and clean. This leads me to clean it more often. I have never seen a bee or wasp on it because it works as intended - only the hummingbirds can get to the liquid. And most importantly, the little "ledge" that allows the birds to sit while drinking is magic. I have a constant stream of birds coming to the feeder. They sit down and stay for quite a while. They love it and will sip, look around, sip, look around and sip some more. They come back often and once they discover it, they return. We have several types in our neighborhood with various coloring, patterns, etc. and they ALL come now. I have spent lots of money on fancy blown glass ones, cheap dollar store feeders, red glass bottle feeders and more. None of them ever attracted so many birds. I get so much enjoyment watching them come. I hung this outside my kitchen window and now I can just stand there and watch the procession come to feed. Don't even hesitate - this is the best one ever. I am extremely happy with my purchase because the hours of enjoyment I get from watching our little visitors. I purchased this based on a review I had read. The makers of this feeder really thought out what was needed in a hummingbird feeder. 1. It has a built in ant moat. (Why haven't other brands done this?). 2. Clear glass feeder. Very important because in hot humid climates you can see if mold is growing on the glass which can kill hummingbirds of candidiasis. Very difficult to see in colored glass feeders, especially Bolite brand. 3. Easy to clean. The bottom parts can easily be taken off and cleaned without any difficulty. Kingsyard brand bottom pops off but then you struggle to get it to realign without it falling off again. Bolite brand the bottom doesn't align right so that nectar drips out. 4. Doesn't lose nectar in windy conditions or upon inverting! After you have filled it with nectar and turn it upside down to hang, the nectar doesn't flood out of the ports like it does in all the other brands I've used. 5. About 8 ounce capacity. That's totally enough nectar to feed several hummingbirds a day. Plus you'll need to wash/change the nectar daily anyway when it gets hot outside since nectar ferments so easily. If you want to attract more hummingbirds put out more feeders at least 6 feet apart. Again, best brand that I've seen. Highly recommend.

After keeping it hanging for a month the Sunbirds finally came and now they come every 10 to 15 minutes throughout the day. It's a very satisfying view.
