Decent bore sight for sight in.
Not bad for bore sight to sight in. Only issue I have is the battery compartment installation which is it doesn't insert in smoothly and I did what the instructions say. So i have to use a little bit pressure just to make it install in the bore sight. Anyway, it's was good for the prices.

AWFUL! Do NOT ruin your rifle!
I have used multiple laser bore sighters throughout my life and this is by far the worst one I have ever tried to use. The cartridge based bore sighters I have used were better than this in every way, and that's saying something.I put on the proper adapter according to the specs in the instructions and it literally wouldn't even go into the bore of my rifle. I follow the instructions to a T the first time. The proper adapter torqued to the proper "spec" (manual just says tighten the adapter until it flares out, which I did). It did not fit into the bore of my rifle. Not even close. So from there I adjusted it. I couldn't get it into the bore of my rifle even with backing off the adapter screw, which lessened the flare of the adapter. The device I have doesn't even match the instructions. The pieces they show in the manual are not what I received and therefore do not work as described. It was a struggle to even get the batteries in correctly and make this thing work at all, based on the instructions. The instructions were completely wrong in that in nearly every regard and I had to resort to just doing what I thought was best. Then I was able to make it work, sort of; because while I got the laser to function, I could not get the device to fit inside of the bore of my rifle ever. When I did get it to work (aka got the laser to turn on, because again, NO WAY is this fitting into a .223/5.56 bore), the laser I saw was this huge and terrible blob (no, it is not my eyesight). There's no way this would be able to ACCURATELY sight in a rifle for a 50/200 zero, even if you were using a 10yd target. The laser for POI is just too huge and grossly inaccurate at best. At worst it's a total liability.I couldn't be less satisfied with this. It was absolutely terrible in everyway. Even if you go it to work, and were willing TO SHOVE this Chinesium down your muzzle; the accuracy would be suspect at best due to the blob of a laser it puts out.YMMV but this is absolute trash. Returning ASAP

Took Some Major Adjusting
This is a decent laser bore sighter it's not the worst but certainly not the best, in my opinion you get what you pay for sometimes. I can only give it 3 stars and I'll explain why.It took some adjusting because lucky me they sent me one that the laser was off Center so I had to set up a jig that would hold my gun steady cause I dont wanna buy a rifle stand, while setting up a target or really just a bullseye 🎯 once I found a good reference point I was able to rotate this sighter and it was way off it was so bad that when I rotated it a quarter turn the laser came off the paper. I wasn't real pleased with that but there's good news and that's what makes this product worth the investment because it is fixable all you have to do is adjust the Allen screws on the end of the laser and it will bring it right back around although it is a tedious process and takes some ingenuity and a lot of time it's worth doing because the alternative is trashing it.I almost threw this thing away but I didn't however I will say for a multi caliber sighter this one is decent but I certainly wouldn't use it as my primary because it goes on the end of the gun and it's easy to bump and get off target I'd much prefer a chamber type boresighter but with small caliber like .22LR you just can't find it so this is the best alternative that I've found.Sure beats putting countless rounds down range just to get sighted properly.Lastly one thing that really was bugging me was the battery compartment, (I must say this I don't read instructions on simple products) I was doing it all wrong the battery compartment was so frustrating to work with that alone almost made me trash this thing but then I decided to read the instructions and I found out there is this little cup that the batteries sit in and needless to say from now on I'm gonna read the instructions from the start. When I decided to use that cup I had no issues installing 4 batteries do keep in mind you need to install 4. Three of the batteries fit into the cup and one stays outside and I found it was easier to install the battery that was outside the cup in the back opposite the spring and it made it look weird but I didn't care about that I just wanted it to work so that's what I did.Would I recommend it? Yeah I mean for the price it's worth it even with its quirks, hopefully yours will actually be on sight and centered properly and lastly don't be like me and disregard the instructions they're actually useful.

This tool is LEGIT
I have quite a bit of experience with firearms. I had loaned my boresight tool out to a friend and was in need of one. I purchased this one to use one time figuring it would get me by my new I wasn't buying an engineering Marvel and just figured it would get me close enough. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did he get me on paper at first shot but I was within one MOA at 50 yards with a .17hmr rifle and with a 9 mm pistol it put me within two inches at 20 yards. All shots off rests. Here's my secret and it's not much of a secret: assuming that at this price point it was a fairly low-tech piece of hardware I stretched out my parameters to give it the best chance I could. I performed this at night with my firearm inside the shop shining out through a door, out to a white ceramic seagull on top of a post that is about 30 yards away and took my time. Obviously, test performed closer with the 9 mil. Picture attached is Ruger American 17 HMR @ 50 yards - first two shots.

Does it remain on target.
I order a bore sighter. I put a black marker spot on a post-it note and stuck it to the wall. I put the bore sighter in a cordless drill to test. The red dot ran circles around the the marker spot by two inches. I returned it. I replaced it with this one from Zongming. I tested it, and it was dead on. It barely moved from the marker spot. At the most, it varied by less than a millimeter. I recommend ordering one and put it in a cordless drive with battery inserted in bottom. This way the cordless drive can stand upright. This sighter can be seen at a long distance. I like this one.
