This lavender smells odd
I opened the package and the aroma was so intense my tongue tingled. It smells slightly of lavender and there is another aroma I can't identify. The other aroma is not pleasant to me. The flowers are big and have nice form but they are not the bright purple/blue in the photo shown on the website. Some are purple and a few are brown. The lavender seems to be picked free of sticks fairly well. It has a label on it that it is from China. I would not consume it not knowing what the odd aroma is.

Great Taste!
I have tried many Tea's in my time including Lemon Balm but this Tea from Valley of Tea surpasses all of them. I received my Tea beautifully packaged in a quality paper re-sealable pouch-This was great as I usually have to decant my loose leaf teas which can be messy and time consuming. They have clearly put thought into how their customers would like to receive their Tea's. Next the taste, which is lovely and smooth with a refreshing sweet undertone. No bitterness which I have found with other tea's. This is such a pleasure to drink. I can't recommend this company highly enough. I will be back.

Freshness and Color
Beautiful lavender for soap making. The smell is not that strong which I consider a good thing. Dried lavender should not have a strong scent unless you press the buds.
