Save my thumb
I was doing a embroidery piece and my thumb was screaming as loud as it could because of the pressure put on it. I told my boyfriend that I wished there were such a thing as a thimble for your thumb. He responded “a thumble!?” jokingly because there we’d never seen one before. I thought I’d try and look it up in case it existed. Here it is! One does exist! It fit well and it has a divot for pushing the needle you would be using. It’s not bendable but it is strong and will last a long time.

Wish it was a little thicker
I haven't found a better thimble for quilting yet. I go through about 4 of these per quilt as the plastic is getting thinner and the needle eventually will puncture through. But it is the best that I can find. I've tried all the other thimbles on the market, and nothing works better.

love the style, but needle pierces through
I LOVE the size and style and use of this thimble, but for me it wore out in under two months. The eye of my needle finally stabbed through the plastic. I got this thimble on August 5, and today the needle pierced through it, October 2. I had a similar previous thimble that lasted for years and several quilts before the needle finally pierced through it. This one only got me halfway through one quilt. Maybe the type of plastic has changed? Also, I have very small hands (I wear XS gloves, or sometimes childrens' gloves), and the thimble is very comfortable on my thumb, but I can well understand people who say it's too tight and painful.Another also, I usually wrap a rubber band around the base of it so it has some extra grip for pulling the needle through. It would be great if it had some built-in rubber around the base.

I like the needle push
It doesn't fit my thumb, but OK for middle finger on right hand. I like the needle push crevice

Three Stars
Ok but the needle punched thru after about three quilts

Falls short in terms of comfort
It fits the thumb, but cuts right into the cuticle. I've solved the problem by adding a Sugru fat collar to that edge, but it should have been more carefully considered by the designer. Soft silicone with a metal or stiff plastic tip would have been a better idea.
