I've used these for years and years, and they erase as neat and clean as the first ones I bought over twenty-five years ago.

My kids love these erasers for school especially since the ones on pencils run out so quickly. Works well at erasing. Easy to use. Not to big about the size of a pen and not heavy very lightweight.

An older eraser of the same style is reaching the end of it's life and I have had it for a very long time. I will have to share these with a friend, because three is more than I will ever need.

I picked up the Pentel Clic Retractable Eraser for my kids and myself, and we all love them. The size is perfect, easy to hold and control, and the weight feels just right without being heavy or flimsy. The accuracy is excellent, especially for homework and small corrections. You can erase very precisely without tearing the paper. Smudge resistance is also very good, it removes pencil cleanly and doesn’t leave messy streaks behind. We also liked the color variety since everyone picked their own, which actually helped keep them from fighting over one eraser. For the quality you get, this is definitely a value for money purchase. Durable, clean erasing, and comfortable to use for both kids and adults.

I am a teacher, so I use these in the classroom for my students. I use Velcro dots to mount pencils on my door for the students to borrow without asking me (if I were in a higher-traffic area of the hall, I would instead mount the pencils on a highly visible section of the wall). This system works very, very well for me (it's pretty self-regulating--the only thing you need to do is remember to check that all the pencils have been returned before dismissing the students. The only drawback to my pencil-borrowing system is that the erasers wear down far before the pencils do. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't hot glue a regular eraser to a Velcro dot (the surface of the eraser is too porous; eventually, the Velcro dot separates from the eraser). That's where these retractable erasers came in. I ordered 2 packs and put a Velcro dot on 5 and then mounted them under the 10 pencils. I was very disappointed that the packs were different colors (one blue pack and one black pack); I would have preferred the erasers to all be the same color. They've worked very well so far (the kids no longer have to ask me for an eraser, they can just get one from the door). The only thing I've noticed is that, since I store them vertically with the Velcro dot near the pocket clip, sometimes the white eraser inside the case falls out and I have to put it back in. Perhaps I will try mounting them upside-down, with the Velcro dot near the protruding eraser end, and see if that resolves the situation. The only other drawback is that the retractable eraser case makes a loud clicking noise when you move the eraser up or down, which can be annoying if a student decides to fiddle with it (though that will stop once you locate the offender and give them your fiercest "teacher look"). Overall, this is a good product that erases well and makes my day easier, so I will give it four stars. UPDATE: After using these for half a year, I have had to order more packs multiple times because my students keep breaking off the little gray plastic slider piece. I once experimented with hot gluing this piece back on the external casing unit, and it worked, but a couple of days later it fell off and I had to hot glue it again. I will not knock off a star for this problem because it is a result of rough handling by the students--however, this lack of durability is worth noting if you intend to use this product in a classroom environment. Despite this flaw, though, these erasers are still currently the best products available to (almost) effortlessly lend erasers to students during class time.

Works smoothly. Love gum erasers and this one comes in handy for smaller areas as well. I’ve been using these for centuries, lol, and am so glad they are still being made.

Perfect for avid sketchers and drawers. It erases relatively good, although, after erasing for a while the pencil lead sticks onto the eraser, making it harder to erase. But you can fix it by using your finger to rub the lead off then it works fine again. I’m still on my first one from the beginning of the year. The one thing that I’ve noticed is that you can’t extend the eraser out really long because it will end up snapping. But that isn’t a problem because you shouldn’t have to extend it until you run out of the eraser you were using. The engraving on the plastic is relatively comfortable to hold and it gives it a sense of security, because I personally, have a tighter grip on it because of them. The product probably weighs less than a pencil, and I sometimes don’t even feel it in my hands. The pencil clip makes a satisfying sound when you push it down to get more eraser. I would personally recommend this to every artist, whether you just doodle randomly, or you are the best artist in your school, work, etc. I can’t go wrong with this eraser. 5 stars.

These retractable erasers are exactly what I was looking for. They were cheaper than other eraser pens, but still a brand I know and I've been very impressed by their quality. They don't leave behind hardly any eraser pieces while still erasing whatever was written completely and they don't retract while in use. I love that they are refillable as well.
