Good buy for those who don't want a dedicated macro lens.
Well worth it for the price. Better than the version that Olympus has (the screw on macro converter). Make sure to check the package for the adapter based on the camera you mentioned since it comes in a very thin box which can be easily thrown away.

Great for taking photos for online listings
I bought this because my Kodak EasyShare couldn't take the types of closeups of products (watches, jewelry, etc.) I wanted to sell online. The camera has a macro setting, but I still couldn't get in close enough to get really fine details. I first looked at other cameras, then I did some research and realized that no matter what camera I purchased I would still need a macro lens. I decided to keep the EasyShare (Kodak is getting out of the camera business but the EasyShare takes good photos) and purchased the lens with the EasyShare adapter included. Viola! It works. It was a very inexpensive solution to my problem.

DO NOT BUY, WASTE OF MONEY.
Absolute garbage. Does not magnify zoom or macro ability whatsoever. I'm honestly shocked by how bad it works, My stock lens has better macro ability than this adapter. Additionally, I purchased the 37mm unit. What arrived instead was a 58mm unit with adapter plate. Not as advertised. If you know what's best for you, save yourself the money and invest in a better product.

great for close ups
Was used for close up pictures along with my Kodak P712 camera. Worked very well. Currently camera and accessories are for back up use.

Great alternative to real macro lens
An important thing to note: This does not match original lens that comes with E-PL1. You will need a 40.5mm to 58mm converter. Other than that, a great (cheap) alternative to an actual macro lens! Also, this will not work with AF. I'm quite happy with my first two photos, given I'm still learning MF. :)

Won't transform your lenses in dedicated macro lens, but a good deal for the price!
Not as sharp as I though it would be, but for the price I cannot expect better. Overall pleased with my purchase!
