Far better than those that have a gasket inside the lid which need steam pressure to inflate the rubber seal against the pan and lid. The seal on this pressure cooker gets compressed between the pan and lid which is far better a seal and quicker to build up steam. There are no plastic bits, like the control knob and the base groove it seats in, which have both disintegrated over time because of the hot temperature, on the Prestige cooker.

Just received it , poor quality, lid doesn't fit pot, lid is heavily scratched , smells funny, metal dust inside pan , very very very bad quality and borderline dangerous with metals cooking into your food return to be started

Cooks faster

I revieved a product that is scratch uo in the pot bit seems like they were wash but not dryed properly. When yoyu pick up the box things are rattling around as nothing to cushion the bits

23/08/22,hawkins is a brand name,so i trusted that here too.i have already 2 hawkins pressure cookers in the past(bought directly from india)but this time i bought that from amazon.sadly its too much over priced.also its not the same hawkins i used.whistle didnot blow out properly.also it gets rusty in days.sadly very disapointed.K/N
