This book gave me a good overview of how to raise capital. The author explains why raising capital is an important skill to have and how it allows you to participate in deals that you wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

Awesome! It's just sales.
When I bought this book I thought I'd be reading about demo reels and fancy boardroom presentations like you see in the Y- Combinator materials. Darren makes the process stupid simple by showing that raising capital is really just the same as sales. If you can sell, you can raise capital. You just need to know your market, prospect, and the problem you solve for them. Nurture the lead and then go for the sale. The sales cycle is always longer for more valuable products, such as investments for ROI.
