Metalhead's Friend
Specs: installed in a single cab ‘06 Tacoma, On the floor up against the passenger side seat. Set up: added to my pioneer stereo. Easy set up if you’re familiar with audio installation (basically the same as a stand alone amp with the sub attached 👍🏽) Sound: I’m into ALL music genres so here we go, Hip hop will be the only jams that didn’t give me that 808 rumble that I wanted but 90s boom bap sound amazing! Metal sounds sick!!! If you’re into thrash, punk, Nu, prog, industrial, goth, hardcore, and early dethcore Metal 10 outta 10! Your grind core, slam, death, tech death, black metals sound good but you’ll have to adjust the bass down a few notches because the sound will be over bearing 😂- no big deal as the gain adjuster is easy to access (or you can just use your stereo settings like I do. Overal, this is a super cheap lil sub that will give you that kick drum that is needed to “feel” the music, sadly I’d did NOT fit behind the bench seat by about an inch because I’m 6’ and need my leg space but that’s ok.

Sounds Good Dispite It's Size
it took a bit to dial the subwoofer in, but once it was I was quite impressed by the performance of this 6.5" subwoofer. To note this will clip if the volume (gain) is turned all the way up and the head unit volume is too. Once tuned, it was able to hit 40hz tones without any issues ie clipping/distortion. While this isn't the loudest subwoofer out there it's a great entry level option or a affordable way to balance out a system. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap subwoofer with minimal expertise needed. While so far this sounds like a 5 star review, I knocked off one star due to the lack of dummy proofing. There should be instructions on how to use the included straps and how to adjust the gain properly (as we have seen with other reviews where it was setup incorrectly)

no bass. just a low tone
Wanted this to replace a larger 12” sub in my trunk. I do not like loud blooming base. In fact I only like to turn it up just above my car speakers to get a nice balanced sound. But this thing couldn’t even provide that it was just a low tone, muffled noise that was easy to locate from the trunk. “300W” peaked easily. Back it went.

Very good subwoofer
This subwoofer has a small driver. Probably the smallest (6.5") that you could use for a sub. But I wanted something that would fit in a specific spot and the dimensions worked. The unit appears very well made. Solid and heavy. Handsome metal grill and tough fabric covering. Connections are typical, easy to wire. I would have preferred knobs to adjust volume and crossover frequency, but the amp has flush potentiometers that must be adjusted using a Phillips Head bit. I am using this sub in a Vanagon. I also have a 6X9 woofer powered by a 3-channel Blaupunkt MPA 400 us amp. This is not high-end stuff. I mostly listen when parked, but I also wanted loud enough for when driving. The Rockville RTB65A does the job. I am very pleased with this little subwoofer. I considered upgrading to a Rockville 8" or 10" for a little more punch, but the bass with the two smallish subs is impressive. I recommend this product. Seller was very responsive when I had a problem with the high-level input. Sent me a new unit within a week.

Bang for your buck? Not perfect but sure is solid!
I've just installed it, so this may change The sound quality isn't great, but it isn't bad, not what you'll get out of some name brands... But price is a must consider factor! This thing is cheap for what you get, it gets decently loud for only taking 150w RMS. The output is clean enough that I can be satisfied. And, it's internally amped. So for the price all you need is wiring really... That's not bad. Name brand this would cost you about double the price, if you aren't an audiophile, then this is a decent add on for you Do note, it's not going to give you low thumping bass. It's a small cone area so don't expect to have a rattling "subwoofer feel" it gives some pretty solid mid bass though that my 15" woofer drops off at, I needed some fill in and this is getting it done. Mounted under my glove box, it is decently sized, you won't be able to do what I did without sacrificing leg space on most vehicles

It’s a decent value but not top quality
It does the job of adding good bass but I already had to send it in for repair/replacement due to it blowing out at max bass and volume. I turned down the power a bit to hopefully avoid another issue with is crackling or blowing out.

Works
That's all can get nowadays, if it works that's a win. Especially when it comes to electronics of not well known quality. Well I have to say it's great, sounds good and build quality quite acceptable. I always try to carefully choose from product line and comments with being with the most reviews means your going to have best of choice.

Amp keeps turning on and off. You get what you paid for.
Not the best, but you get what you paid for. Amplifier keeps turning on and off. I checked wires, rewired the unit but problem persist. I bet it's the amp. I just need a little bass for this little NA Miata. Maybe down the road ill replace the built in amp to a standalone amp. I can clearly see power led was on and off when that happens. Just be mindful that you are getting what you paid for. If not for this problem, I'd probably rated 5 star. 6.5 inch did its job. Just disappointed in amp.

I bought the little 6.5 inch and it absolutely hammers bass for its size. Now after 6 months of use the amp is cutting in and out randomly. Even playing music at low level. Disappointing. The sound is great. The lifespan sucks.

Lesson learned - a $100 bass tube sounds like, well, a $100 Bass Tube would - Garbage! 2nd lesson learned, test it as soon as you get it. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had no vehicle to mount it in when I originally received it. Now a year later, it can't be returned :( Be forewarned! Learn from my mistake!
