Works good and accurate if you don't need a huge surface area
We were looking for a kitchen scale to divide up the large packs of meat more evenly. Think of getting the approximate 7.38lb of hamburger (or whatever) at Costco or similar place. Great price, but unless it is a big party/gathering, I want to put it in smaller packages for multiple uses. Especially since we have a foodsaver and a chest freezer, we can store it well for a while for later use.Tried the eyeball method in the past, but the results were inconsistent. The scale works well for 1-2lb of hamburger or equivalent, if not tenderized. If you have 2 or more lb of tenderized steak, it is a little too small a surface for the scale. Hamburger or other meats that compact still work well. The package needs to be reasonably compact, the surface area is not huge. Also if you are trying to be the super dieter and need it to do 0.0000000001 of a gram, it can't do this (for example). We haven't put the scale to the test yet, but for dividing up multiple pound packages of meat into reasonable packages, it works great. And really if you are needing beyond 0.01 of a pound accuracy, I don't think you are using a scale for basic food consumption purposes. (Weighing out saffron or other super expensive spice, pick something else.)

I literally cannot think of one bad thing to say about this scale -- I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase
I recently started a diet and accurate portion sizes are a critical part of maintaining my diet. As such, I decided to purchase a kitchen scale to measure my quantities. This is the first kitchen scale I've ever owned, and I absolutely love it. I've been using it every day for about one month so far. The way the interface works is so simple and intuitive. It supports multiple units of measurement and allows you to switch between them with a single button press--it supports oz, ml, lb + oz, and g. This is great since you can switch to whatever unit your recipe/serving amount uses and not have to worry about any sort of conversions. Additionally, you'll want to avoid placing food directly on the scale--luckily, adding a container to the equation does not introduce any added difficulty. Simply place your empty container on the scale, press the ON button again, and watch as the scale resets to zero. Now, with the weight of your container removed from the equation for you, simply fill it up with whatever food until you reach your desired weight. What's even cooler is that you can continue zeroing out the weight, so if you want to add 20 grams of food A, you can do so, then zero out the scale again, and add in food B to desired weight, etc.; I've found this is nice for making a salad, as I can just add lettuce, zero, add a vegetable, zero, and so on. Another great feature is that the scale zeroes itself out when you first start it up, so you can place your empty "measuring container" on the scale before you turn it in, and it will rule out the weight of your container when it starts up (this is what I usually do).The scale will also remember your last-used measurement unit; this can be either a blessing or lead to an unfortunate mistake if you're not paying attention--I once was trying to measure 85 grams of spinach and didn't realize I still had the scale set on milliliters from measuring some vegetable juice earlier in the day. Thankfully (as I understand it), it should have came out to be the same quantity, but still, something to look out for until you get familiar with this unit. But this scale isn't just functionally sound--it's aesthetically pleasing as well. The stainless steel finish looks very sleek and will fit nicely with any modern kitchen setup. The display is also is backlit and is visible from a reasonable distance, which is also nice.I literally cannot think of one bad thing to say about this scale--I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase and I highly recommend it.

Great, inexpensive, well packaged scale
Wanted a small scale to weigh out coffee grinds. This is quite small and it is a solid package (no feet sticking out or external buttons). The specs say you can splash water on it ... though instructions say don't put in water. The display has a strong back-light, but looks like an inexpensive display. Easy to turn on, tare and weigh something. Only two buttons so on/off and tare are one button (hold for off) and the other is to switch units.I'm very happy with it, due to it being so compact. Use, wipe clean with damp cloth and slide into cupboard.

Very good but not perfect
I bought this to measure my dose of coffee for my espresso machine and Keurig K-cup brewer (I prefer fresh ground coffee to the expensive pods!). I used my old AMS scale in the sink on the wire mat so I could just rinse down the grounds that inevitably spill, and it worked well. This scale has to sit on a flat surface (I guess it has the sensors in the feet) so now I have to set it on the flat counter and clean up the grounds after measuring the coffee. It does not show tenths of a gram like the old scale, but a half gram error on measuring isn't a big deal. It functions well and works on 2 AAA batteries that are easy to replace. It is easy to read with lighted numbers. It measures pounds/ounces, grams and ml. It doesn't say in the manual but I assume the ml is for water, so if you're measuring some other liquid you will have to divide the reading by the specific gravity (0.92 for olive oil, 1.03 for milk). Overall it is a very decent scale. It is small but not tiny so you can use a measuring cup to hold what you're weighing. I would have given it 5 stars if I could use it in the sink and if it had tenths of a gram displayed.

Precise, accurate, and sturdy.
Great kitchen scale. Can weigh in grams (to the whole number - does not do tenths), pounds, and ounces. Has a tare function. The entire casing is plastic, but it looks sleek. Precise - consistently gives the same read for the same item. LCD is bright and easy-to-read. I particularly love the auto-off feature so the battery doesn't run down. I've been using it multiple times every day for nearly five months, and I've had zero issues; the stock batteries are also going strong. Easy to clean with a sponge. Has rubber pads on the bottom to prevent sliding. For regular home cooks and/or those who are serious about calorie counting/lifestyle improvements, a kitchen scale is invaluable. I would highly recommend this inexpensive but good quality scale.

Would complement any kitchen!
Note: The supplier sent me a sample for evaluation. The opinion is my own personal view which has not been influence in any way by the supplierThe scales come in a neat well packaged box that's very easy to get it to. My box was slightly crinkled the edges and the plastic cover on the scales had pretty much come off, but this did not damage or affect the scales at all.The scales themselves are very stylish and the blue one I was provided with is a really nice colour that compliments my kitchen. It can take up to 5kg of weight with is plenty for my cooking for 2!It is also very accurate and measure to the nearest 1g.The scales are very light and easy to move around the kitchen the work really well and you are in fact provided with a pair of AAA batteries. The best thing about these scales are that you can change the unit of measurement to suit your recipe, which is superb!

I recommend for the price
When I opened the box and saw a BLUE scale, I was less than impressed but after scrolling some reviews to see if I was the only one, it came to my attention that it is a protective covering and indeed silver LOL!I like that the scale has a variety of different units. It is difficult to see the weight when you place a plate on it as the size of the plate tends to cover the screen, as well as when you push the buttons, it senses the weight of your fingers. But overall, i recommend the scale for the cost, plus I do LOVE that it's not blue!!
