Excellent quality, longevity and functionality
We use this valve (as well as the thermostatic version, similar to this) on the majority of our design/build projects because: 1. The quality is excellent (we've never had an issue with the valves, and we've ordered dozens and dozens of them) 2. The unit can be used to switch between one fixture or another, or (after removing a small washer inside) be used to have both on at once. The majority of competing brands require a separate diverter valve to do this, Hansgrohe's does this in one. Less money and a cleaner look. Highly recommended.

Excellent product
We purchased the Pressure Balance with Diverter along with other Hansgrohe shower products for our new bathroom construction. They are excellent quality and good construction. All parts work together seamlessly and are easy to install. They look amazing and function very well. They give a real high end feel to the bathroom. I am very pleased with the purchase.

No more temperature regulation
Thermostatic shower should be the modern standard for all shower trims because they actually control the water temperature and keep it consistent throughout the duration of your shower. In addition, it is very simple to use: the bottom knob sets the temperature, and the top knob control volume with integral diverter (controls where the water is coming from)—turn it left and water comes from the tub spout, turn it right and it diverts it to the shower head. It is very elegant and minimalist. The temperature always stays within one degree, as opposed to a pressure-balance valve which has a range of three degrees. A thermostatic shower valve also has temperature memory, so you can leave it at your preference and never fiddle with it again. Also, having the volume control separate from the temperature control is a huge luxury with only a marginally higher cost. And sure, a pressure-balance valve usually much cheaper than their thermostatic counterparts, however, if a contractor is only selling pressure-balance trims, seek a better one. My one caveat I have is that the pressure only changes in a very narrow margin at the beginning, maybe the first 1/10 of a turn, and reaches full pressure after that. It is still easy to control though.

Love it but
This is a beautiful product. The whole assemble is beautifully engineered. However it works opposite what you would expect for hot to cold But we are now use to it and love the temperature controls and no we did not reverse the input lines as we called the company to confirm

incomplete product!
The product was incomplete. There were missing very important parts: mounting screws, an o-ring, sleeves. very disappointing!

Fixed a long standing problem, excellent quality
This control was the heart of a shower restoration. It replaced a Symons valve and diverter. Now using the shower and choosing which head is easy. It looks simpler and more stylish too.

Good, but some design flaws.
This valve looks very nice; we installed two of them during our bathroom remodels about 8 months ago. We've had no problems since then. However, there are two big design flaws with this valve. First, the temperature range (set via the bottom knob) is far too narrow. You can calibrate it to range from, say, hot to super-hot (over almost one half of the circle); or from lukewarm to warm; or from cold to slightly cold; and so on. But you can't calibrate it to go from cold to hot. Second, the top dial (used to control the flow - go left for one water source, or right for the other) is too sensitive. It goes from fully off to fully on over the course of maybe 10 degrees (as in, 1/36th of a circle). This is unfortunate because most people don't never notice that there are shades of grey you can use in there, and they just crank the water to all-the-way-on and end up wasting a lot of water. I found these design decisions very disappointing, especially after the price tag for this valve, and the outrageous praise heaped on this valve by so many people during our research. One knob is far too sensitive and the other is not nearly sensitive enough.

nice unit. Back plate is plastic not metal. Looks great and works well.
Looks nice and works well. Just surprised the back plate is plastic and not metal. Need to be VERY careful when cleaning not to scratch. Prefer the back plate to be metal and would have expected it to be. I did my research in advance and noticed it was indeed plastic. Buyer beware. Looks great though and you'd likely not know it was plastic until you held it before installing.
