Another buyer says their unit came assembled. Ours did NOT. That said... It shipped FAST. All the pieces were lettered, the instructions were spot on, and everything lined up. It took my hubby a couple of hours at a slow unhurried pace. We took a look at our TV stand doors for help to attach the hinges. The cabinet weighs maybe 50 pounds. It's heavy and sturdy. Perfect for a lamp, a book, and a decorative item (+ yarn storage). The only thing I'll change out is the dark metal handles. I'll replace them with crystal handles from Hobby Lobby to match the lamps. Thrilled with this purchase!

I love this cabinet, it is simply a conversation piece. It stands out in my living room, and is always noticed. It was a great price and I recommend it, if you like different pieces of furnishings.

It's the right size and style for my office. I ran into an assembly issue, however, when the holes weren't machined properly and misaligned when I was attaching the top to one of the sides. I finally had to unscrew the strip of wood that joins the side to the top to get it to line up, and screw it back into place as far as it would go. The instructions have those pieces mounted to the sides first, for reference. Other than that, it's a great piece at a good price. Love the sheen of the silver. Great for storage.

An ok piece. It's much shinier than in the picture and looks much more like plastic than wood. And I have a very similar grey brick wall just like in the photo--which is why I thought the silver would work. I'm thinking of distressing it a bit to give it an older patina. Biggest problem is that the inside holes for the shelf are about half an inch off; if you place the wooden dowels in the holes and fit the shelf into the grooves, the cabinet will not close. I had to just place the shelf on top of the dowels (not fitting them into the grooves), and push it towards the back of the cabinet to get it to close. I'm only putting CDs on the top shelf, so hopefully it won't collapse. Diagram isn't the best either. But it's too much trouble to send back, so I'll keep it and work with it.

I bought this piece because it was different and I thought it would look great in front of a dark red wall. It does look great but I am so impressed with the quality of the chest. I really wasn't expecting that! It comes unassembled and the box was somewhat "rumpled". The pieces inside were well packed and protected and nothing was damaged in even the slightest way. The instructions were okay - some parts were more challenging especially the hinges - and it took me about an hour to assemble. I used my own Phillips screwdriver until I figured out that the provided allen wrench had a Phillips head. All the pieces were clearly marked and the holes line up perfectly. It assembles with screws and bolts (unlike a certain DIY chain) and the result was sturdy and beautiful. The embellishments on the doors are tin not wood, which I was very happy to discover. All in all, a beautiful and well constructed piece (even if I had to do the constructing).

These are great purchased 2. They are a bit time consuming to put together but sohhhhh worth it. The price is right too

The wood is cracking when I tried to screw in the hinge. I hand-tightened the hinge screw and made sure not to tighten it too much. I tried another hinge and that too cracked. There is a defect in the board that goes on the bottom as well.

The front "carved" medallions are plastic. It really brought my bedroom down. Everything else in the room looks high end, because it is, and then there is this cabinet. Also, be careful what you set on the top of it. I've noticed that the paint is coming off. It appears that the surface wasn't properly prepared prior to painting it, or perhaps it's also plastic.
