These aluminium poles are surprisingly sturdy and not as light weight as you might imagine if you’re used to carbon fibre or aluminium fixed length poles. However, if you want real versatility and the option to use a pole at a variety of heightS up to 2.3 metres, these are hard to beat. Length adjustment is really straightforward - each telescopic pole consists of three sliding sections which are fixed in place by twisting the sections until they lock together at the desired height. Easier than it sounds. Not much force is required at all to lock them in place and having been ham fisted in the past with this kind of mechanism, I’m careful not to overdo it.I have a motorhome awning, a 3m event shelter and a tarp, which all get used throughout the year for extra accommodation or protection from the elements when camping. These poles are ideal for turning a wall into a porch or for creating a shelter from the tarp to create shade for our three dogs or us which has been a godsend in the current 32°c temperatures.Better value than and easier to carry than three or four sets of different length poles, easy to use and they even look pretty smart too. To gain the full five stars, I would have liked them to have come in a simple bag for protection and some guy lines included too (don’t forget to buy some).*Every product I review is purchased with my own money. Having just come onto the page again I have realised that I should have had 2 poles and not the one that I received. My fault for not realising. The one I did receive was as expected and works well. So overall ratings and value for money marked down due to only one pole being delivered.

One of the three I bought stopped working on the 2nd use, but I'm not knocking the product as I think it was me being heavy handed. Main point is they stood up well to Welsh coastal weather, and I think that speaks volumes!

Fantastic pole lightweight and telescopic however mine arrived damaged and couldn’t extend one partRefunded immediately, don’t let my experience put you off as best design I’ve found

Handy product if your camping or for the garden

Seem well made and up to the job

Sturdy product, flexible use. One problem, encountered windy and wet conditions. The locking mechanism lost grip when wet, causing the pole to collapse an inch or two. Never found a way to overcome this.
