Finally! After trying the typical steering wheel trays/ desks on the market, the RoadPro Wheel Desktop actually works on my size steering wheel. I have an 18” steering wheel and the typical steering wheel trays and desks simply do not fit. The RoadPro fits perfectly on my steering wheel without any alterations. It holds my iPad mounted with a keyboard setup securely and balances my takeout meals (eg. Panda Express two item meal) with one side of the food container on the edge of the RoadPro. Although, the RoadPro sits at an angle unlike the trays sold elsewhere that sits like a minature table. But the angle that the RoadPro sits is not too extreme where it would be impossible to use as a desk. In fact, I can easily use the desktop to read and highlight pages with ease. This increases my productivity in my vehicle many times over. What is cool is that I can browse the Internet and eat without trying to balance my food on my bare steering wheel or lap and spilling food everywhere. LOL : ) I can imagine a lightweight laptop can work as well. In addition, the the lip at the bottom is sufficiently wide enough to hold my pens and markers easily. Writing with a portable 4-notepad folding clipboard on the RoadPro is secured and steady enough. Not sure if I ever will use the attached clipboard clip, but it is there if I need it and it is sturdy. I don’t find this steering wheel desktop to be too flimsy because it seems reasonably thick enough. Any thicker would be unusual for a car accessory such as this. I can imagine that the RoadPro can fit various size steering wheels. Well at least I know that it fits the 18” wheels. I really liked the RoadPro so much and found it very handy that I just ordered a spare one. Just in case.

This is one of those items that you don't realize you need, until you use it at the steering wheel. Then wonder, "Why did I wait so long to get one of these?” The size is a perfect fit as it sits upon the steering wheel. It doesn't wobble, move around or press into the horn. As a tractor trailer driver it is a great addition to have when you need to do paper work and don't wanna move from out the drivers seat. I use it to take photos to scan in paper work, to write out my runs in my personal trips book, to sign BOL's and to input data into the trucks tablet. I am very satisfied with the quality, size and convenience it brings. Would definitely purchase it again if this one was damaged or lost.

This was a great investment for my trucker hubby!and cheaper than buying it at a truckstop.

Fits over my steering wheel and allows me to work with my tablet and phone. Not while Im driving of course. I did have to modify mine by grinding a hole in the tray so I could snake my cell phone charging cord though it so the phone can charge while sitting in it while I am viewing it. The two new ones I got wont fit over the steering wheel of my f250 but a heat gun or hair dryer should fix that. in the rig its a definate life saver there as well. Perfect in every work vehicle. Boss wants one but I told him I needed a payraise to be able to get him one. But dont buy one buy two or more. Worth the money

If you work out of your car and/or truck , and paperwork needs your attention this is a great tool. You can write on it, scan and send documents , and clip and organize your paperwork.

I would say this item is good. However, I would say it is over priced. None the less it works perfectly.

I bought this for a car, and it fit that steering wheel perfectly. My dilemma came when I bought a different car and it didn't fit the steering wheel that was a thicker handle. I realized maybe I can use heat to get the mounts to be the correct size, with a small lighter and focusing on the tightest curve at the top away from the edge I was able to achieve this. It's tricky to do, but if you're patient and don't add too much heat (you don't want the plastic to smoke), run lighter along a line lengthways at curviest point and you can make it 1/4" or so bigger. It's not the most ideal typing position for a laptop though but gets the job done.

Works good, just wish the hooks on the backside had a bit more space between them and the clipboard as they don't fit over the steering wheel in my pickup, they just kind of rest on top. All in all, seems to be good quality.

I work for a company with material/crew trucks for a electrical power company. This is great for our crews to write reports or notes when at a job. It fits the steering wheel perfectly.
