Deflecto Semi Rigid Aluminum Duct, Non-Crimped, silver, 4” by 8’ (A048/9)

Great fit my application. The material is fragile but the same thing at the Home repair store was twice the price! So,,,, score one domestic goddess!

Used on my gas dryer, this product replaces an old 'disintegrating' plastic vent hose, (which should never have been used on a hot exhaust appliance in the first place). If you have to cut it, be advised that it will helically tear if you're not careful. I was concerned about its' crush factor, but the sidewalls hold up well and it will bend around tight corners without crimping. I use high temp HVAC aluminum foil tape rather than hose clamps to secure the ends. I would not hesitate to purchase this again and recommend it as a safer way to vent hot dryer exhaust.

It is rigid and flexible. There is no way to secure it to anything included. It also doesn't have crimped ends. Good product and meets description.

I used this product for venting a bathroom fan.It is very good because it is all aluminum and does not have an ironspring inside so it doesn't rust.

Replace my old, cracked vinyl duct with this one that should last forever.

This is the most useless product I’ve ever seen in my 44 years. It comes out of the box looking all nice and pretty but once you try to expand it to fit it tears easily, comes unraveled and creases wherever you touch it. Literally it’s like venting your drier duct with foil. Don’t waster your time or money!!

Love this ducting... easy to work with and sturdy. Fit like a glove to the vent and fan outlet.

Overall sufficient 4 inch duct material to do the job for venting 4 Panasonic bath fans in a very tight place where no other duct fittings or pipe would've fit, quite flexible yet provides assurance it won't collapse or puncture! Great for offsets. No other duct fittings would fit where I used it and I felt this is better than the ducting material made of the thin Mylar and wire I've seen.Only problems i can see is that it's made by crimp-rolling some very thin aluminum strip and unravels and dents quite easily. I didn't have problems with it puncturing. i didn't like that there was a label stapled 5 inches from the end that made me have to cut that portion off. I found some insulation sleeves made for 4 inch ducting made by Hart and Cooley and slipped them over before attaching the fittings together. Then I cleaned the duct fittings with windex before applying GAF masterflow duct mastic and attaching them together with either 4 inch hose clamps or 3 self-serving screws as means of a mechanical connection. After applying a coating over the mastic to the outside of the connection (even over the screws) I applied fiber tape and coated it with more mastic to make something reminiscent of a cast, all in order to ensure as airtight of a connection as possible. After letting the mastic dry overnight i came back and pulled down the fiberglass insulation over the connection and taped the duct insulation I added to make an air-tight and insulated connection i hope and expect to last for many years.

Ignore the lower ratings, it's sturdy and exactly as expected. I would assume it will only get flimsy at full extension, has every duct will. Works fine for my wood stove to forced air conversion.

El material del ducto es muy delicado y difícil de manipular, se aplasta y dobla fácilmente al intentar colocarlo

fait bien la job, jài acheté pour l`aération de la cave avec un ventilateur d`évacuation.

Pésima calidad, es de hojalata de aluminio, se rompe con cualquier golpe. Se va deshaciendo al momento de darle forma o jalarlo para alargar su tamaño. No tiene una terminación para embonar con calentador o secadora. Llegó dos días más de lo previsto. La peor compra que he realizado en amazon.
