This a solid product, well thought out, battery endurance is amazing, not much noise so your furry friend won't be scared. Easy to use, this saved my life, I have a rescued hairless Peruvian and Shitzu mix, and she HATES nail clippers, she can't see them close to her. I even bought at the same time I bought this grinder a guillotine-style nail clipper to try that one also, but nothing, she hated also. But then, I tried the Casifor Nail Grinder, and she was fine with it, not afraid of it. I could give it 10 stars out of 5. This is more suitable for her also because her nails are black, and but a nail clipper, one mistake is your last with that dog, they'll hate it. It arrived on time, and it was already half charged, so to test the pain scale I used it on my own nail (I even checked how it felt on the skin area). This thing is truly soft and pain free! It is easy to hold, easy to use, and the noise level is pretty low (even when at the highest strength). All of this can be seen and heard in the photos and videos attaches.I own a chihuahua, and I generally cut her nails every two weeks. Now she has black nails, so I would always leave then a bit longer than I wanted for fear of cutting the quick (dog nail vein), which had sadly happened to me twice in her lifetime. So of course, every time I got the nail clippers out, my dog would whine and try to hide. Using the Casifor, she still whined and put up a fight when I started the first time, but after a while she realized it was safe and relaxed. I was able to cut them down to such a desired length when she calmed down, and I could not be happier.

We bought this item as a means to start maintaining our dogs nails. We have two 80lb shepherd mix dogs with big paws. Neither one of them have ever enjoyed having their nails trimmed and sometimes we've slipped and accidentally cut their quick, which is something I never wanted to do again.I did some research and read reviews on a quiet nail grinder and came across this one. The price was right for me to try it out and I have to say I'm happy with the results. The motor really is a LOT quieter than I expected. I have a dremel tool I use for a variety of things, so thought this would be similarly loud. It is NOT. It's MUCH quieter and does a decent job of grinding down our dogs nails. The challenge is more with our dogs than with the tool. The sound doesn't bother them but the vibration created by the grinder is something they don't appreciate, so they tend to try to pull their paws away.The grinder itself works very well, super quiet and has a nice light to help illuminate the nail (full disclosure, this wasn't that helpful for me as I trim their nails in full daylight). It also comes with a removable head with two different openings depending on your dog's nail size and trimming needs. I really like that it's rechargeable and only takes a few hours to do. So far, I've been able to do one dog on a charge, mostly b/c of the their massive nails that take a bit to grind down, AND their unwillingness to sit still the entire time. :)This package also comes with a set of clippers which I did not use, so won't comment on here.The price is great, the grinder is super quiet and works well, although it takes a little longer for bigger nails, which is fine for my use. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and hope it continues to last for a long time.

This Casifor grinder is a God-send for cutting cat's nails. I have 5 cats, and paying a professional groomer every 3 - 4 weeks for nail trims can get expensive.The grinder is just the right size, fitting easily and comfortably in to my hand. The motor is quiet, so as not to scare the cats when first turned on. Even though the sound increases as you begin grinding, it is much softer than another, larger grinder I have. The other grinder tends to be loud, and the guard is too far away from the grinding wheel, so that I have to push a cat's toe in to grind, which stresses the cat, and doesn't thoroughly bring the nail down. This Casifor is just right, with an adjustable guard that can also be used on a dog's large nails.Some of the cats take to the grinding better than others, but everything goes a lot smoother than it does when I try to use the larger grinder or simple clippers. I can even grind down Inky's nails. He is a little curmudgeon that hates to have his paws touched. He struggles, but once he realizes that the Casifor is easier on him than other methods (including professional groomers), he reluctantly submits to the process. In point of fact, I have had 2 professional groomers refuse to clip Inky's nails, because they are afraid he will harm them. If Casifor can grind Inky's nails, it can grind any cat's nails.So, I wholehearted endorse this product as a fine alternative to other methods of getting your cat's nails down to size.
