Long assembly
The other reviews said that it took forever to assemble. I've assembled a lot of furniture, so I figured it wouldn't be that bad. It was. It took me about 4 hours. I only needed help with lifting the desk top onto the assembled bottom. Once finished, it looks really great and is the perfect size. The packaging was awful, though. A few pieces had corners chipped, but they were hidden once it was put together. I would still recommend, and I would buy again.

Solid Purchase for the Money
This took my a while to put together but it has great value for the money! Very nice looking and solid office furniture. The only thing is the surface is a bit sensitive to scratching. Other than that, I am happy with my purchase. Just budget about 3 hours for putting it together.

Packaged badly, bad instructions with no labeling
Desk is ok once put together, that was the problem, none of the pieces were labeled, yet the directions stated to put piece "a" and "c" together. Very difficult when none of the pieces are labeled and there bad pictures in the instructions. Not sure if it was the shipper or delivery, but the box was mangled and all the pieces a mess when opened. Once finally built after 10+ hours it seems ok, however if you put any weight on the main piece it makes a krinkle sound, doesn't seem right.

great!`
Love it! Would recommend, but as others have said, instructions lacking. Able to figure out but counts and parts labels are not always correct on twist bolt connectors. took about 6 hrs for my girlfriend and I to assemblle.... But would purchase again and recommend!

High Quality desk and materials, beautiful once constructed but labor intensive to build.
I am highly pleased with this desk. The materials were higher quality than expected and looks gorgeous once assembled.Pros:-High quality materials were used to design this desk. The wood is a form of pressboard but its is very sturdy and the veneer finish is high quality as well. The hardware that comes with the desk to assemble it is also high quality so you dont have to worry about bending or breaking any of it.-Desk is beautiful when assembled with plenty of desktop space.-Instructions are fairly easy to follow.Cons:-Its packaging is heavy and bulky, its also messy when pulling the pieces out. prepare to dispose of alot of Styrofoam pieces and flurries. I had to unpack it in the garage and truck the pieces upstairs to the room one by one.-Assembly is time and labor intensive. Took 6+ hours to assemble over 2 days but again the finished product is worth the effort.-Instructions are misleading as it pertains to the amount of hardware needed for certain steps. For instance when assembling the cabinet with drawers, the legend says the hardware bag comes with x17 of the Large Cam Locks, but when you add up the amount needed to complete it, it requires x19 Large Cam Locks. This made me think some hardware was missing so I ran to Home Depot to buy extras, come to find out the box that had the desk packaged in it had another bag or hardware where the legend stated it had x34 Large Cam Locks but it actually had x36, making up for the 2 that i thought I didnt have. Just combine both bags of hardware....there is enough to complete the job.Advice:-Combine all bags of hardware-Separate each piece before starting as some of the stickers denoting the letters on the pieces will lilely have fallen off. get a sharpie and mark the pieces with their corresponding letter for future reference.Overall: 4 stars for High quality and look. Docked a star for the assembly and messy packaging.

Beautiful heavy desk
Desk is perfect to my job at home. However if you try to put this together all by yourself it will take you about 8 to 10 hours. My husband put it together and with my help from start to finish about 5 hours. We found we were missing a few bolts but we were able to juggle them around and put a fewer ones where it did not compromise the desk. If we had known the time and little issues I probably would of ordered it assembled..lol all in all I love it

What a nice piece of furniture
What a nice piece of furniture! And it is once you've gotten by the horrendous instructions and a multitude of parts that don't seem to fit anywhere. Underneath, it's a piece of Chinese Junk. Not the little boat but a piece of garbage made in China. The material under the nice veneer is loosly pressed, well, pressboard. It assembles with wooden dowels, metal pins, and camlocks. Good luck putting them into the panels. They're either loose or cause the cheap pressboard to crumble. You are supplied with a little tube of some kind of white glue for the dowels, the kind you were issued in Kindergarten only thinner. If you buy this piece of garbage, go to your local hardware store and buy a tube of Liquid Nails before you start. Now, if you buy this disaster, clean out the room you're going to put it in. Yep, disconect all your computer equipment and move it to another room. If you can re-connect, do so, because it's going to be a while. Next, remove the workstation that you're replacing and put that somewhere else. This pile of garbage is supplied in two boxes; one for the desk and one for the file cabinet. Any normal person would open the desk box first, except the miserable instructions to assemble the entire unit are in the file cabinet box. Makes sense, yes? So, you begin to assemble the desk and halfway through you realize something is wrong. Nothing fits. What you are supposed to devine is that the instructions for the entire unit are in the are in the FILE CABINET BOX!!! Back to the instructions...they look like they were drawn by a first-year draftsman. I'm a mechanical engineer by way of drafting and anyone who generated an undecipherable pile of slop like this would be shot. Not fired, taken out back and shot! Well, if after you read this review and still purchase this THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD anyway, I suggest if you own firearms to lock them away and give the keys to a neighbor or good friend. By the way, we; my wife, son, and I, started this Horror on Thursday. It's now Saturday evening and still going. I'm taking a break to avoid committing mayhem. Will report back if and when this "project" ends.
