Dao helps my high histamine symptoms but its important to follow a low histamine diet and reduce usage as it is not recommended to use DAO long term. I think I prefer the old DAOFOOD to this new capsule but I'm just starting out using the new capsule so will see how I go.Noticed severe nausea and dizziness after one week, can’t be sure it’s the DAO never had this with the old DAO Food tablets. Don’t like the additions to this capsule. Noticed also problems staying asleep since using. Hope this helps someone.Update 07/01/20 Taken the qucertin and vit c tabs out of the capsule and I seem to be less dizzy/ nausea. Slept better last night, its only the second day doing this but I think I react to the other ingredients in the capsule so breaking and just taking the two pale tablets which are the DAO twice per day before food. The company sent a discount code for 10% off the next purchase but the code does not work.

Thought this worth a try even if it didn't work. I'm notoriously sensitive to even the most innocuous supplements so have gone carefully with this. Thought I would try one a day but actually only need one twice a week. Results are that I'm sleeping better, digestion is better and less anxious or more calm, and better mood. My husband notices the difference in my general wellbeing. I think with more time I'll notice more improvements too - I've only had 6 capsules so far!

I bought these to try as DAO was recommended for histamine intolerance, which I seem to suffer from. However, I had a bad reaction after the first capsule, either to the enzyme itself or one of the other small tablets inside, e.g. quercetin. This does not mean that the capsules are not good for everyone else. It was just a waste of £32 for me.

After taking it only 2 of these tablets I experienced heartburn and a sharp pain in my stomach.I immediately stopped using them and contacted the company for further advice,to no avail.

I've almost 10 years into a health journey which has seen me have M.E, POTS and autoimmunity. I deep dived into researching MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) this year following getting sick mould exposure. I became allergic to pretty much everything. Dust, cardboard, any smells etc. I knew it wasnt' normal so researched MCAS and what kicks it off..... Part of my recovery has been therefore adopting a low histamine diet and taking a DAO supplement for when I do have a food that may up my histamine bucket load. These have been revolutionary and massively helpful! Highly recommend for anyone who has a similar story.

Actually gave me headaches. I was hoping the pills would help.

A real good product for people with histamine and digestive issues

I am not a big eater but what I did eat and drink caused much discomfort, about 20 minuets later.The first couple of days I took a capsule before eating everything , usually it was in small amounts, this eased the discomfort somewhat. A capsule going to bed allowed me to sleep.Now, I can take one capsule at the start of the day, before I eat or drink anything and I feel good all day, I know my condition is still sensitive as I do not know what caused it yet.
