No weird bugs, stylish and great coffee.
Terrific coffee, beautiful, no weird coffee bugs (ehy I bought it. If you don’t mind a 9-10 min brews and like style / cleanliness, simplicity — this is for you.

Nice looking and organized, clean approach
I like the idea of the unconventional placement of the grinds holder sitting in the carafe. 1. This keeps the smell of grinds and any residue away from the reservoir and water flow, which by common sense would seem to keep these areas cleaner for a longer period. 2. Having to remove the grinds holder from the carafe to the external plastic holder - I don't see this as a burden, but a sensible option to contain the grinds until I am ready to dispose of them. 3. The overall design allows the reservoir itself to be easily cleaned, by simply wiping the excess water out with a clean, dry towel. The clicking sound is only a result of the machine having temporarily stopped the flow; it is not a defect. And the machine does beep when the brewing is finished. The iced coffee process works fine for me. The bottom plate warmer does not come on during iced brew mode.I only notice a slight difference in flavor when using the pour over mode, but it does take a little longer. Overall I don't feel that the Brewing process takes too long as others have stated. I do understand though that not having a timer to start a brew process for waking up in the morning could be a real negative for many. The coffee is hot - perfect in my opinion. And the warmer does keep the coffee hot.I typically do four cups by DeLonghi standards when I brew, which produces two standard mugs of java, or 20 ounces.Cons:1. The carafe is too large for the limited eighy cups that it is able to produce. This must play into the overall design, because it simply makes no sense. 2. The free flipping of the lid as you pour is a distraction and I could see it leading to a sloppy pour, though I have not experienced any spilling when I pour, but the lid overall feels abnormal compared to other lids. One positive I guess is that you don't have to touch the lid at all, because when you pour, the lid is designed to yield as the flow passes through to your cup - this is actually a clever design and I don't have a problem with it because it works. At the same time you can hold back the lid manually, but this has a different feel than other lids.3. I felt that the machine was expensive, so wait for a deal as I did.

Lame Duck Brewer Plagued by Problems
There's no doubt this Brewer makes a fine tasting cup of coffee. However, after going through three of these 3-in-1 Specialty Coffee Brewers now in 2 years due to product problems (first 2 Brewers were replaced under warranty), I won't be returning to the De'Longhi family of products. The first Brewer arrived with the glass water reservoir cracked; got an automatic return/replacement. Funny thing was the shipping container and product box were both intact and undamaged. The second Brewer simply stopped brewing after 2 months. Completely dead. Again, Brewer replaced under warranty.Today, after less than 2 years of nearly daily use, the 3rd Brewer is now stuck in "clean" mode (the lights on both brew buttons flashing in unison). I've tried everything I can think of to get the coffee maker out of "clean" mode, but to no avail.I purchased the protection plan for the product but - despite having an email that states otherwise - I'm told the product is not covered by a protection plan. Looking elsewhere for yet one more coffee brewer... suggestions appreciated.

Best coffee pot I’ve ever owned
Bought in February 2019 this bad boy has made countless pots of coffee. Never had any issues and it tastes better than any pot I’ve owned.

Very satisfied with my purchase!
I am a huge fan of this coffee maker - the iced coffee option is my go to - but the pour over setting is a close second- very consistent brew, easy to use, very classy design. Highly recommend!

Great coffee, terrible warming plate.
Edit, Jan 26, 2024:I replaced it with an Oxo Brew 12 cup SCAA certified coffee maker with thermal carafe. It is awesome. The carafe keeps the coffee piping hot for hours if you make 6 or more cups. It can also do smaller batches and podless single cups. C’mon. Don’t get Delonghi. Oxo is the one. And it’s NOT hard to keep clean.Edit, December 7, 2023:I’ve had this coffee maker since June, and after 6 months I need to change my view. It still makes excellent coffee, BUT the negatives have grown. Not only does it not have an acceptable warming plate, but this machine needs far more frequent descaling than my previous 2 SCAA certified machines, and DeLonghi’s insistence on only using “their” descaling solution is not cheap, and comes with a host of health warnings; some serious; that plain old white vinegar simply doesn’t come with. And it’s expensive. My final complaint is that it maxes out at 8 cups, but lately the 8 grind max has been consistently overflowing the basket and ending up in my pot of coffee. This coffee machine makes great regular coffee and great pour over coffee. I haven’t had an opportunity to try ice coffee yet. Absolutely wonderful in this coffee snobs opinion. There is one huge problem tho:The heating plate only stays on for 1 hour. 60 minutes max. I want to make a pot of coffee and I don’t drink 8 cups of coffee in 60 minutes. Not 120 minutes either. Other SCAA certified coffee machines manage to keep the heating plates going for 4 whole hours. This is a major issue. I don’t want to make 4 small batches of coffee. I grind my beans. A $50 percolator keeps keeps coffee hot indefinitely. My previous coffee maker, for many years, Bunn, was SCAA certified and managed 4 hours of heated plate functionality.

recommend it
It looks elegant. It's easy to use, and it provides 3 types of flavour, pour over, dropping and ice coffee. It's easy to clean. You only need to clean the glass carafe.I have already used it 1 and half a year, really recommend it.
