Very good brush
Let me just say that I purchased this little brush about 3 weeks ago and I really love it. Previously I had owned the Tweezerman pure badger brush which a) shed hair during almost every use and b) eventually the brush became permanently detached from the handle, all in about 9 months time. Note that this was under normal to light usage - I shave about 3x a week on a good week. So, I can already tell this Omega brush is well made because it has only shed 1 hair so far, and it was during the very first use - not bad! Also, it just has a better feel in your hand, and comes with a convenient little stand for storage and drying. This brush seems to be darker in color than my previous brush (lots of black hairs) but I honestly can't tell you how (or if) color relates to hair quality, as my knowledge of the badger brushes is still somewhat limited. This brush is a little more stiff than I was expecting, but it may get broken in after more uses. Also, it takes a decent amount of water to generate a nice lather I've noticed, more so than my old brush. But this would be dependent on the ratio of cream used, so it may vary from person to person. All in all this is a great brush for wet shavers on a budget - for the price I think it will be hard to beat this guy. Paired with a good shave cream (Taylor of Old Bond St. Avacado is my favorite), this brush really does help to make shaving more effective and enjoyable. Rob

4 years Strong
I bought this brush 4 years ago and I have nothing but great things to say! For the price point, this is an amazing brush. It has held up well and gives an amazing lather each and every time. I'm a firefighter that has to shave regularly and I always find it a pleasure to use. It is also great for head shaving. Strongly recommend!

I love this brush!
I love this brush! I must admit that so far, I only have three brushes—a boar hair brush, a synthetic brush, and this badger hair brush. With that having been said, this brush is my favorite brush. I give this a four out of five star rating, though I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5 if I knew how to. (I'm still trying to figure out the Amazon rating system.) The only reason I don't give it a full five-star rating is because I wish it were slightly larger, but that's more of a matter of personal preference rather than a reflection of the quality of the brush. This brush is so soft, and it feels great against my face when I'm lathering up with it. Although I enjoy using my boar hair brush and synthetic brush, this brush is definitely my favorite. It splays great, it's incredibly soft, and it loses very little hair when I use it. I also have to say the the vendor I purchased this brush from (Spicy World of USA) shipped it out immediately and it arrived in perfect condition. There might be better badger brushes out there, but for the money, you won't find a better badger hair brush on the market. If you're on a tight budget but want a good badger brush, then this is the brush for you.

Great for the price.
This is my first shaving brush, save for one my dad used. Construction is good. Since I've had it, I've had only one bristle come out. The grip is secure in my hand while extra lather is on my fingers. It works up volumes of lather easily, even with mediocre shave soaps. As you lather up, the bristles feel great on my face. I can sense the stubble being lifted up. Rinse it out well, and hang it to dry!! It retains its shape nicely. It would be interesting to use a much more expensive brush ($100+), and compare the two. But I feel for the price, this is a very good shave brush.

Good brush. . . just not the one I ordered (i.e. the one pictured).
The brush itself is nice enough and well worth the price. I am not so happy with the handle. The brush pictured has a nice simple handle that looks like a plastic imitation of ivory. Simple and clean. That is what I wanted. The handle on the brush I got looks like a cheap imitation of something out of the Great Gatsby or a Paris Hilton porn video. It is simple black with a giant clear plastic nob mounted on the top. I have no doubt that if Annie followed the Mona Lisa all the way to the bathroom we would have seen the Hope Diamond (only slightly smaller than the faux bling on this monstrosity) mounted on a shaving brush that looked something like the one I received. I considered sending it back for that reason but ultimately couldn't be bothered. On another note, the plastic case in which it came is perfect for using as a travel case. I placed an old 4 dollar boar hair brush in it, and it now lives in my travel bag.

Perfect starter brush
After seven months of use the brush is holding up well. It has softened a bit since first opening it and creates a good lather using a variety of shave soaps. In the time I've been using it, it has lost very few bristles and I'm not particularly gentle with it. This is my first shave brush and for the money I don't think you will find a better performing or more reliable brush. The stand is a bit fiddly but it does the job it's supposed to do. I find the handle very comfortable and easy to hold even with wet, soapy fingers and that is important. This is something I use every day and it's a pleasure every time I do. If you're looking for an economical first brush, I heartily recommend this one over the Tweezerman brush which I also own. This Omega brush is fatter and softer and feels better both on the face and in the hand.
