I was on the fence about trying this sponge but it works excellent . I have gone to every lamp shade & used it . Takes dust easily off and makes the shades look so much cleaner

This works very well to remove dust, pet hair and small spots like from flys. It's very good for those things. But for anything more serious no this won't work. I'm using this monthly to keep my shades in good shape. But if say you son touched the shade with greasy pizza fingers then no. Call your local dry cleaner and see if they clean shades (many do) or look up a diy.

They can be used to get dust off of drapes as well.

Disappointed in what it is.

This is such a great item, have two beautiful red velvet lamps with gold fringe. Thisproduct cleaned off the dust so efferently. I was amazed. Will definitely buy again.Does not disappoint.

Did not work at all. I have a C&B ceiling lamp. I removed the lamp and applied the sponge as directed. Didn’t do anything. It did however move the dirt around…save yourself some $ and just get a roll on dust remover, that will do the trick.

I had planned on replacing some old very dusty lampshades, but was shocked at how expensive they are. I ordered this as a last resort, and was surprised at the difference it made. There are still some stains, but overall they are much improved. Used this on 5 lampshades and it picked up a lot of dirt, even after I had vacuumed and used a laundry sheet. Would definitely recommend for smooth lampshades, but I didn't try on any pleated ones.
