New Cyprus Grill 88lb Stainless Steel Rotisserie Spit Package Deal

Bought this item for a whole pig bbq. Whole pig weighed 36 pounds. Motor shuts down every couple of minutes for about a minute or two, then starts again, only to shut down again, and again, and again. After the pig was ruined, I removed it, reattached the spit rod, restarted the motor without anything on it. It shut down every couple of minutes without anything on the spit. The problem appears to be that there is an electrical box, I'm assuming to be a power supply of some sort that is mounted directly in front of the air intake for the motor which restricts the cooling air for the motor. Very poor engineering design. The quality of the components appears to be excellent, but the assembly of the parts I believe is where the weakness of the design is.

Used for first time last weekend for Greek Easter. I like the spit rod and its accessories. Very easy to secure animal on spit rod. Only reason, I am only giving it a 2 instead of 5, is because I strongly dislike the motor and its non-stop turn on/off routine. Several times lamb got burned due to these unexplained shutdowns. Heat near motor was very low. I could place my hand between motor and fire comfortably.

Loved it we ordered a 75lb pig and go one that was 120lbs and had no problems at all pig cooked for 18 hours straight. The one thing I will say is make sure you check that clamps and wing nuts have way and make sure you tighten them up so you don't loose in fire but would highly recommend was a very good product

I was worried that 70lb pig was too heavy, but wow! We're very happy and satisfied with the Cyprus grill!

This was a terrible product. It was not worth $1.00 as it broke in the first few minutes of use. Made of very flimsy material. Do not waste your money.
