A Princess Primer: A Fairy Godmother's Guide to Being a Princess

I was a little worried after reading the other reviews but I’m so happy! This book was in perfect condition. My daughter has checked this book out from the library over and over. As far as I know it’s not available in book stores as it’s an older book. I wish I didn’t have to pay twice it’s regular price but this is going to be the greatest Christmas present!

Product Details shows this book to be for ages 5-8. I strongly disagree. I believe it's best for ages 9-12. The details are wonderful, which little girls could easily miss. This is a delightful book about princess clothes styles, the rooms in a palace, magic of a fairy godmother, the kingdom of a princess, treasured objects, and so much more fun information for a girl who sees herself as a princess. Charming fun.

I was very diappointed. They could have really went all out for this book but they didnt. I have a princess crazy 5 year old granddaughter. By the 3rd page she hopped off my lap. Completely uninterested. Very much a downer.

I first found this book in our local library, but our grandchildren were so enthralled that we purchased it for them. A kindly fairly godmother tells little ones all about princesses and how to become one. Even to showing the curtsy. It takes a princess through her castle, and shows alternate clothing choices and ends with a wedding to of course "Prince Charming". However along the way, the fairly godmother teaches about evil spells and wicked princes to beware of. A fun book which our grandchildren have returned to over and over.

This book has a mall section of different fabrics to feel, descriptions of what princesses from different parts of the world would wear, secret code messages, etc. It's very interactive and fun!

I purchased this book for my niece, for Christmas, and she loved it. This book stands out because of it's use of textures and interactive items. For example, within the discussion of the proper attire for a princess there are actual samples of satin, lace, and velvet for the child to touch. There are envelopes with removable contents, like the invitation and menu for the wedding of the prince and princess.A couple of the earlier reviews commented negatively on the art. I found the art delightful. I believe that those reviewers had an expectation that the art would by "Disney-like". It isn't and I think that is to the book's benefit.

This book is not new as it states. It is used and has writing and scribbling throughout. My daughter was heartbroken.

The level of detail in both the written content and graphics is impressive. There's a lot of eye candy here to satisfy most young girls. The reason I docked a star is the used copy I received was in worse condition than the seller admitted to, but my daughter loves it so it's recommended...

My daughter was given this book by her godmother, and I have since bought another three myself to give to nieces and other friend's daughters. It's such a lovely book. It's very girly, which I'm not normally massively encouraging of. But there is no denying that girls do love princesses and this book really is the ultimate princess-related book. It's like no other book you have, but it's hard to describe why - you just have to see it. This latest book I received, like the others previously, was in perfect condition and it won't be long before I'm ordering more. It's also ridiculously good value.
