Easy read and good reminder of a few fun things to do.

Absolutely fascinating, empowering, elegant, and very resourceful. The Mistress Manual gives wonderfully sexy advice to women who are interested in creating a new dynamic in the bedroom or for those inexperienced women discovering the natural goddess within. I LOVED the diagram in the beginning of the book showing the different types disciplines a Domme may posses. The book is very easy to follow and read as it is set up in 3 parts. Part 1 on becoming a mistress, part 2 establishing yourself as a mistress, and part 3 (the most exciting part for me) the different types of archetypal fantasies to carry out in a play session. I highly recommend this book to curious and open minded women with a sexual desire to be in control. Happy perving!

My worst fear in buying books like these is that I waste my money on information I already know or it tells me information that can easily be found within 5 minutes on Google. Luckily, this book was not like that.If you're a reluctant or aspiring mistress who wants an informed guide to start you on the right path, or if you're someone who's just curious and wants to do something different with your partner; this book is for you. It effectively talks about what to expect as a sexually empowered female and gives you an intelligent re-approach to common misconceptions, fears, challenges, and tribulations One might face. It's not just "what" to expect as a dominant female, it's also the authors explanation of "why", which makes me feel like this book an especially insightful and productive read.CONS:-Not for an experienced Mistress. This is literally Female Domination 101. So unless you want to get back to basics, this book is not for you.-I find this book very vague when it comes to ideas. I'm only on page 80, but I already wish there were more specific, naughty techniques to be inspired by. It's possible the author wanted to be vague because it gives the reader more freedom to be inspired by themselves, but it would still be nice to have some realistic ideas to bounce around.

I really enjoyed this book as a new player. It didn't answer all of my question but I found another book and resources for that. This is great for understanding the 5 architypes and offers some good ideas.

When I decided to buy this book, the only thing I knew about BDSM was what the acronym stood for. As a relatively new writer of erotic fiction and romance, I wanted to expand my knowledge base, and this was the perfect resource to do so. The book is both well written and wonderfully structured. It consists of 14 chapters, ranging from "How to Balance Fantasy with Reality" to "10 Rules for a Successful Mistress". My favorite aspect was learning about the five archetypal fantasies (Nursemaid, Governess, Queen, Amazon and Goddess). Each has their own chapter which include the psychology behind the fantasies, as well as possible scenarios to act out, and the appropriate techniques, costumes and props. The Mistress Manual is well worth the money. I'm quite certain it's an invaluable resource for anyone interested in this area of expertise.

I found this book to be interesting, but ultimately disappointing, however, my disappointment is not the book's fault. We were looking for a way to learn how to enhance our already in place female led relationship. This book is primarily for beginners, whereas we have been at it for decades, and the book also places much emphasis on "games." We don't play games in our house, our FLR is very real, we are just at a loss on how to make it grow, and we hoped this book would help with that. It did not. On the other hand, if you just want to play around with fem domme or FLR, then this book could work well for you.The Mistress Manual offers several scenarios that would help those who just want to have some fun or even relax, but there is little information for the experienced FLR couple,nor is there any real information for people who want to adopt the female led philosophy. It also is useful for a woman who wants to learn how to dominate men for profit or fun. And that is probably the book's best angle, because trying to function as a book for the experienced, the novice, and the curious, Mistress Lorelei has lost sight of a clear focus as to what the book should actually offer.I would recommend this book to those who are either curious or to a woman who wants to learn what it would take to control her man, at least on a fun level. As for a person seeking a lifestyle enhancement or change, this is not the book I would recommend. I would have given this book two stars, but I did like it, it just didn't offer me the information that we wanted as a couple.

This is part technical manual, and part psychology. For such a short book, so much is covered. Reviewing the archetypes of male submissive fantasies was the most eye-opening, as many are not commonly explored or discussed. I greatly enjoyed reading it, especially in public (although I was kind enough to hide it behind another book, because I'm not that bold.) The author reviews the technical aspects of spanking, including safety and areas to focus on and avoid, as well as different types of strokes. It's not only arousing, but interesting from an intellectual standpoint. I'd highly recommend it for anyone (male or female) who plays with a male submissive.

Oddly most may think having a woman tell them what to do isn't very fun but the book ahs a variety of not only techniques to make some play time enjoyable for both even if the woman is the more in charge of the scene but also some good equality techniques on how to live a life with work, family and still have these aspects of ones s elf that need to come out. The release of not having to be a breadwinner, or run the house hold or a company for the male and for the female the enjoyment of being the sheer focus of the males attention and getting to be a bit more sassy then maybe normal life would allow. This book is for those interested or are curious in the lifestyle or specific aspects of a female led relationship, not a love making or play book.

This is the Highway Code for serious would be FemDoms. It covers all that you may want to, think you want too and haven't yet thought what you might in the future want to do to keep you and your Sub in a euphoric state of sexual equilibrium. A great read and instruction manual.
