The BEST seaweed for cooking!
I am crazy for seaweed and love Asian cuisine in general. I love seaweed as a snack and have also used the dried seaweed for cooking. The problem with most Seaweeds for “cooking” is that they’re too fishy and are quite often very dirty. Almost always, the seaweed from the Asian stores requires a heavy wash to wash away the sand and dirt before use. This makes it quite difficult and impractical because you’d have to wait for the seaweed to soften before washing and when it softens the leaves start falling off as you try to wash. This package I would say is most definitely the best one I’ve tried. There was no sand or grains in the package. The package seems small but about a Fistful produced a very generous amount of seaweed for my 8cup miso soup. I soaked it for a few minutes in hot water and within minutes the leaves started opening up. They weren’t tiny shreds as most people stated. Most were a pretty decent sized cube shape - perfect for soups. The taste was remarkable. Perfect balance of sea salt (not added- just the natural flavors) and the texture was unbelievable! Not mushy. Not super crispy but just a perfectly crunchy texture that leaves you wanting more. I ended up having a spoonful reserved just to snack on. Best of all, my very picky toddler girl loved it as a snack. A definite win win! There was plenty left in the bag so the size of the package is quite deceiving. I’d say it’s a great value! PS: though the package is not in English, only the words “organic” could be read from underneath one of the logos.

Hard bits
Tasty seaweed, but there’s a lot of hard inedible bits in it. Makes prep a pain, and would rather spend a little more on a brand who gets rid of those bits for me.

I buy it regularly.
I often make seaweed soup for my kids, so I often buy this product. The seaweed is cut into bite-sized pieces, which is the most convenient. It's easy to cook. It comes in a zipper bag, so it's easy to store. It doesn't have much of a seaweed smell. I think it's washed and dried. Feeding seaweed to children is to help them grow. In Korea, pregnant women eat this seaweed soup after giving birth, which proves how healthy it is. The quality is good, so I think it's great value for the price. It's a recommended food.

incredible addition to soups and
I'm obsessed with this product. It's such a delicious addition to soups and other dishes and a little goes a long way. I will most commonly add about a shot glass size to my ramen and it expands quite a bit. If you want there to be less of a "salt water" smell/taste, you can soak the seaweed in a small cup of water and then dump the water once it's expanded and add it to your dish. I mostly do this to avoid the seaweed soaking up too much of my broth though, as I don't find it that big of a deal. 2 packages have lasted me about 9 months so it's a pretty incredible deal. Try it! Everyone I've fed it to is a fan.

Easy to use
It’s easy to use, soak with cold water for five minutes then ready to cook with any broth, food…. But the texture is hard.
