Excellent CAT Cable -- Working Great w/ 10Gbit Unifi Switch
I recently upgraded my home network with a 10Gbit switch from Ubiquiti which functions as the layer between my local work and development servers. As 10Gbit switches are still relatively expensive, it's important to use quality components and cables, thus I began the search with a brand I trust and have used for various other cabling needs: Cable Matters. The CAT8 cables are solid, plain and simple. They look and feel durable, the RJ45 connector is well made, and unlike the many cable manufacturers I've used in the past, the cable pairs are clean-cut and flush with the connector ensuring that there's a solid connection when inserted into either a standard Rj45 port, or an SFTP+ to RJ45 modules. If you run 10Gbit equipment at home, these are highly recommended and easily allow you to saturate the connection at full speed without droops. One thing I'd love to see would be a larger selection of lengths. I have a growing need for 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 3' cables. Seeing 6' as an option would also be nice!

Solid 10Gbps link to my switch
I had a hard time trying to find a cable with reviews where someone actually used the cable for 10Gbps. The majority of the reviews I read were people using over priced cables for 1Gbps links. If your only going to be connecting a cable modem to a router or PC at 1Gbps don't waste your money on anything greater than CAT6.The only time you would need CAT6a, CAT7, or CAT8 is for a 10Gbps or greater connection; or a high noise environment but for your home there is no need. This cable works as advertised and negotiated a 10Gbps link to my Cisco Nexus switch with no errors or issues. If you have a need for a quality cable capable of 10Gbps you can't go wrong with this one.

The Real Deal Cat 8 Cable
This Cat 8 cable is 100% the real deal guys and is definitely a must for anyone looking for the fastest, cleanest and best connection they can get no matter what speed they have. It will surely get you the speeds you are paying for from your ISP consistently and may even get you a few more Mbps not to mention it’s almost double the size of a Cat 6 cable. My WiFi and Ethernet connected devices are now flourishing with fast clean WiFi and future proof for any future speed upgrades.

Great Cable, and Good bye bottleneck!!
This cable has been a real game changer. I did not know that the stock Ethernet cable I got from the ISP was bad, I mean not even close to what I am suppose to get for speed. The only time that I could get said speed was about 3 O clock in the morning. But no more. I hooked it up and then ran a speed test and bang, I actually saw that I was getting full speed. I did it twice just to make sure I was seeing it right, and again got the same result as before. I love this cable. I would buy again as soon as I can. Well worth the money. I also have this connected to a router that is running Tomato firmware and it also runs great. I also like to suggest if you have DSL, to get this cable and a better DSL RJ11 cable because it does the job. :-D

Great pre-assembled CAT 8!
Excellent! Just upgraded my internet service (ISP Spectrum) and belatedly realized I better upgrade my routers, switches as well---and...my CABLES (!!) which were still 5E at best. These Cat 8s are very substantial, well assembled, and work great--very pleased with Cable Matters. I am going to need a long run under the house to reach the Media rig as well. I do recommend Cable Matters products--impressed with their quality.

One of two cables ordered was defective.
One of two cables received was defective. If that wasn’t bad enough, I tried tlo contact cable matters directly via their face book messaging to let them resolve outside on Amazon - in attempt to save them al the amazon fees associate with a return and resend - and they never had the curtesy to even reply over course of a week. This was a hard at install, snaking nine foot cable. I’ve never tested cable in advance, because I’ve never gotten a bad one. I guess I should start now. I’ll also definitely avoid cable matters.

Cat8? OMG. It's Runs Slower Than AmazonBasics Cat6 Cables. Don't Waste Your Money.
100% would not buy again. Cat8? These CableMatters cables runs slower than AmazonBasics Cat6 which only 1/3 of the price. These cables are made from extremely cheap wire and within a month I am already seeing issues on two network terminals drop in speed. Don't waste your money on these CableMatters cables. I've had to buy new cables to replace everyone of these. Would have been cheaper in the long run NOT buying a CableMatters cable ever in the first place.

Seems VERY well made
I bought this when I was trying to figure out what was preventing me from getting the gigabit internet speed I pay for. Turned out it was a software issue, so I'm not sure I really NEEDED this cable after all. But, I'm keeping it anyway, because it's the sturdiest, most well built Ethernet cable I have, and it wasn't very expensive.
