The Vampire Prince: Cirque Du Freak #6

My son was not a reader, but when he was in middle school 11 yrs ago, he read this entire series in a week! I couldn't believe it, knew it had to be awesome, so I read it also and loved it. My daughter, who is now 11, is an avid reader at an advanced level. When I suggested this series she half heartedly agreed to read it, but I got the impression she didn't feel it would be up to her standards. When she finally ran out of books and picked up the 1st book, she was riveted and couldn't put it down! Missing a few of the series, I immediately popped on Amazon to pick this one up. It arrived ASAP in the exact condition as listed. Couldn't be happier !

I bought the first couple of books on a whim only to find a very relatable main character and and a story that offers middle school and adults a less grisley, but un~twilighted, world of the supernatual. What a rare find!Initially I based my view of the series on the movie made years ago, but found that the movie failed to capture the essence of the book series; not a big surprise.Now my six grader is chewing his way throgh the books and comparing them to Susan Collins's 'Gregor" and "Hunger Games" books; more the former whith this 200 pager series.Because of the shortened length of this epic, I would recomend not being satisfied with just one book. I made that mistake and ended up reading three of the books from Kindle because I could not wait to read more. Great series that gets better as it evolves unlike some others that flatten out or bulk up on repetition to fill up the pages.In summary this is a great read, parents please ignore the titles and read for youself. The series is about fitting in and acceptance through lifes stages of transitions.

I got hooked reading this book series after watching the movie, which I might add, pales in comparison to the books. Now, both my daughter and I are on the last 3 books! Something about the author's writing style sets it apart from all other modern 'vampire' books out there. I say, this series is written a lot better than that twilight saga.

As I said, this was a gift for someone else. She said they were not difficult to read and very entertaining. She really loved the whole series and can't wait to read more from Darren Shan. She said "It was kind of like like Harry Potter, only better!".

Discovered Darren Shan from the Demonata Series, and he never disappoints. Won't list points from the book, as not to spoil it for future readers, but I guarantee you'll fall in love with his work. 5*stars

Great series by Darren Shan !!!!!It just continues to get better & better with the each book in the series.I am an adult & enjoy the tale of Darren & his vampire adventures.

Seemed a little bit more fat fetched this episode in the saga, but them again it is a kids book! I read the first five when I was a kid, but never finished the saga, so this is unfinished business for me! I also want the collection on my kindle like the Harry Potter books and C. S. Lewis books. As I said a little bit more fat fetched but kids will love it. Let's see how Darren Shan goes on now that he has a vampire clan at this back!

This book has become highly addictive and I read it within the day. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the second I picked it up and could not put it down until I had finished.I LOVE THIS SERIES

This book is a great read. I bought this for my daughter and she didnt put it down until she was finished it. Darren Shan is a great author for any young teenager. Good product, great quality. I would recommend it. Shipping in the time as stated. 100% recommended.

Bought the Series for my son, we have bought other Darren Shan books and my son's love them all. They are easy reading and if it gets them away from the computer then I'm happy! Arrived in good time and was well packaged.

My 11 year old son is totally hooked on Darren Shan. He cannont put them down and has read some in only two days. Darren Shan's books seem gruesome at first glance, but the boys love them.

Knowing it's all about a prince, I found myself reading faster and faster towards the end as things got tense

An adventurous, exciting story. My son liked it because the main character wasnt limited to one area, this kept him interested in the book.He felt that the ending, was too sudden and this was the only thing he disliked.

The book was in good condition but I wasn't happy that the cover was different to the image show with the description. We now have 5 books in the series with the new cover and then this one with an old one that doesn't match. Bit misleading.
