Chinese Lanterns with Lights Blue/green/purple

For the price range I didn't expect them to last more than one season. However these had a few quirks that made it a little more difficult.1) They need direct light, I tried to hang them two feet in from the edge of the covered porch and they never picked up enough light.2) The hooks they come with aren't enough to ensure they don't blow off in any summer storm. This means I had to chase them down several times and after the second storm they were more than a little banged up.These lasted the summer, but I will not be purchasing them again as they just didn't work how I expected.

These Chinese Lanterns are beautiful, especially do I like the colors. They are a little delicate but not overly so. Following the directions, I ran the batteries down by keeping them on in a dark room, then set them outside to charge. We have had some cloudy days, so I waited a few days before turning one lamp on to see how it would do. There was only a very dim light, which lasted about an hour or two.I will try to reposition the lanterns to get more direct sunlight (they are hanging on the outer sides of my patio.) i think these might work with a little more patience. If they do, I will upgrade this rating. Even if they don't work, they bring color to my dull patio, and I will keep them anyway.UPDATE: After about 2 weeks of dim light due to partly cloudy days, these lanterns are glowing as expected! I ended up positioning one about 3' from the ground, and another one about 2' above that one. They are now giving off enough light to give a dim outline of my patio furniture. By 11:00 pm they were not giving off quite the same intensity of light, but still glowing and very pretty because of their colors. I would definitely purchase another set, but sadly they are not available at this time.

These battery operated lantern lights are great. They provide a festive mood and are easy to operate. I have used them in my garden when I have a get-together and it just lends a party atmosphere to the occasion. I highly recommend them. I love them! They are so well-made, and have a nice sheen, and texture to the Solar LED Battery Operated Chinese lanterns. The instructions that come with the lanterns are easy to read and follow, and the pictures are clearly drawn to show how to set the lanterns up, and how to charge the batteries during the day. So, they can be used at night. The colors are beautiful and as shown in vivid blue, purple and green. They are very elegantly made, and appear durable and sturdy. Not cheap looking at all! They collapse easily for storage after use too. I am using mine indoors, and they are a lot of fun. I know I'll get good wear out of them! Love that they have a lifetime warranty too.
