Camera Mounting Plate for the Wal-Mart MX1000 Tripod and OSN OS500 Tripod

I bought a used tripod at a yard sale, got it home and found that the mounting plates (yes, both) were missing. The box had these stats, so I took the chance. I could have technically purchased the whole tripod over again in the $19 I had in the project, but in the interest of not being wasteful, I got exactly what I needed for the price I would have paid to get it new, and there is one less tripod in a landfill :)

Fits

I have two cameras and it was a nuisance having to transfer the mounting plate between cameras. Having two mounting plates has solved that problem. I do have one minor complaint though - it is slightly difficult to swing outward the tang on the screw because of close clearance. But because I now have two mounting plates, that doesn't much matter.

I revived and older crappy wally world tripod with this. Its not a great tripod, but it works for my purposes. I was surprised to find the piece online- glad I did.
