It did the job perfectly. I found I could not remove the cap off my dishwasher salt refill. I’ve never had problems before but I could not shift it. Thankfully this spanner worked. It saved my sanity and also money to get out an engineer.

As other reviewers have remarked this spanner is fairly easy to use and certainly did the job of shifting an otherwise stuck salt resevoir screw-top lid on our Bosch dishwasher. However £15 for a plastic tool does seem pricey and I wonder how long it will last before snapping.

It can be really difficult opening the salt cap in a dishwasher. This simple tool makes this so easy! Wish I had got one before.

Overpriced. Does the job it is made for.

So I was a bit dubious spending £15 on a piece of plastic, but the reviews looked great and I figured if it didn’t work I had 30 days in which to return it anyway.My salt cap was stuck solid and I’d tried all the googled suggestions of a warm wet rag, water from the kettle and general brute force out of frustration to get it to budge and absolutely nothing had worked.Well it arrived and what can I say; within 30 seconds I had it opened! What an ingenious bit of kit!!It’s a bit fiddly to turn due to the location of the filter and the door being slightly higher than the bottom of the dishwasher but with a bit of manoeuvring and a firm push it was opened. It really wasn’t that difficult and you don’t really need much strength either.I am chuffed to bits and slightly annoyed that one of these doesn’t actually come with the dishwasher to start with, but it works and I am very impressed and gutted that I didn’t know about it before now.As these are 3D printed it appears to be pretty strong and built to last but only time will tell I guess.I absolutely recommend anyone having issues getting into their salt cap to get one of these. You won’t regret it!

Salt dispenser cap was stuck solid and for 2 days. I tried all sorts. Saw reviews of this item and purchased. It worked, releasing the cap after a two short turns. As I have a slimline dishwasher, I needed to place the cap remover at a couple of different angles to get it to fit around the cap. Very pleased with the item and happy in the knowledge that should the cap get stuck again, I have the means to open it.
