Am I the only cook who hates catching seeds with my hands?
I have a dozen citrus squeezers, but now I'm happy. This beats the others for several reasons. I have a reamer, one of those odd looking metal scissor shaped things, dish type juicers and of course have done hand squeezing. I've tried other types too, but none were effective enough. I got the lime version of this gadget to make key lime pie and loved it. It was big enough for little lemons, but I finally realized I'd have to bite the bullet and get a real lemon sized version because I've taken to drinking lemon water daily and needed something more efficient than what I had. I'd even tried the version that had both the lime and lemon sizes combined but that turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. This thing gets much more juice out of the fruit than any other method I've seen. It retains the seeds and most of the pulp. A little fine pulp can get through so if you have to have perfectly clear juice, I'd use a little strainer under it, but I've never found what little gets through to be a problem. What I get is a lot of juice. The unit is strong enough to squeeze even thin skinned lemons that have gone hard on the outside. At first it seemed counter-intuitive to put the halved fruit in with the cut side facing down, but after you squeeze it, you see how it works and I'm always impressed with the amount of juice that comes out.I'm really pleased with both this and the lime sized squeezer and recommend them.

Where was this all my adult cooking life?
This is one of those products you don’t know you need until you have it, then wonder what you’ve done without it. Absolutely love this project. I get much more juice out of lemons when I’m making salad dressing. No more burning my hands when lemon juice gets in little cuts while squeezing with bare hands. It’s heavy duty and built well. I expect this to last many, many years. Love it!

Almost perfect
Great functionality with a minor gripe. When squeezing, some juice runs out over the top. Be prepared with a larger container than, say, a Mason (tm) jar. The excess juice then runs down the handle and can be problematic.Once you have this learning, it is easy to workaround. Just hard to understand why this wasn't noticed in beta testing.Seems robust, and the finish is holding up well to the acid. I do not run through the dishwasher.Good value for the money. Just be prepared for the juice to run over the top.

Easy To Use
In my baking and cooking I love to use lemons or limes. Their tart citrus flavor sets the right tone. I also use a few lemon slices in my drinking water. Thus far, I have been using an old wooden dowel like product that releases the lemon juice. But, I always seemed to find seeds here and there, and I had to take the time to hunt down those seeds. Now, I have this beautiful lemon colored lemon squeezer. I can squeeze to my heart's content. Slice a lemon or lime in half, lace one half in the squeezer and go ahead and squeeze. All that lovely citrus juice comes flowing out. And, I find I have more juice when using this squeezer. Today, I made my citrus cookies, and used both lemons and limes. What a delicious treat. This progressive international lemon squeezer is made of aluminum. It is easy to use, and makes for easy clean up. I usually hand wash mine, but you can place it in the dishwasher as well. So far, the color has not faded, the squeeze portion remains firm but easy to press. Why I waited so long to purchase is a mystery.Recommended. prisrob 02-22-14

Good quality lemon squeezer just a bit heavy.
I bought this lemon squeezer because I am lazy and dont really like to hand squeeze lots of lemons if I need just the juice. Lots of people in the culinary industry have this type of lemon squeezer so I bought one. The downfall to this squeezer is that it is kinda big and heavy. It is made of a type of metal which makes it a bit cumbersome to just throw in my knife bag and carry all the time. So I usually just leave it home so I have it in case I need it at home which kind of defeats the purpose of me having it all. Haha. But this is a quality lemon squeezer and will probably hold up compared to lighter plastic ones.

Easier Than Getting Out the Electric Reamer
I have a manual reamer that is now difficult for me to use (arthritis in hands), and I have a wonderful electric reamer. The electric reamer is fantastic when I need to ream a cup or more of citrus juice, but it takes time to clean it afterward. So I bought this mechanical reamer for when I need the juice of only one lemon or lime. It IS somewhat more difficult than I thought to squeeze, but that because of the my arthritis and muscle loss. If you're less than 60 years old and/or do not have arthritis in your hands, this will probably be easier for you to squeeze than it is for me.

Best way to juice lemons (and limes)
We had an identical one for about 8 years. Eventually, the enamel started to peel off, so we replaced it for an identical one. It really allows you to squeeze all the juice out of the lemons, and it does it easily and quickly. It is sturdy (we had plastic ones before, but they were not heavy enough to work well). If you factor durability, the cost of this squeezer was a little over $1 a year. If that allows you to get twice to 3 times as much juice out of each lemon, you can see how this pays for itself in no time.I wouldn't get a separate one for lemons and limes. I would stick to this one, which is a little larger than the one for limes, and does a great job on both.

Lemons have met their match!
I was squeezing my lemons with my hands, but that wasn't really doing the job. You can't get all of the juice out that way (or, at least I can't), and there is a high likelihood that you're going to drop some lemon seeds in the juice and have to fish them out.So I decided to step up my lemon-squeezing game and buy an actual tool for the job. (I wouldn't consider it a single-use tool since you can also use it to squeeze limes). This is sturdy and works great. 5 stars! I've used a plastic squeezer before and accidentally broken it due to putting too much pressure on the joint trying to squeeze out the final few drops of juice, so I really like the fact that this is made of metal.

great tools
And now we’ve changed the era with this new kitchen tool. No more efforts made on the old lemon press. If you like to be efficient in your kitchen, like to have solid tools that work, that’s an instrument for you. I give a 10/10
