Great solution to a sloped driveway on a busy road
This was the perfect solution for our driveway which is flat at the top but then slopes toward a semi busy road. It makes a boundary so the kids can't get too close to the road when riding bikes or running and stops balls when they are playing basketball. Some balls do manage to get over or around the net so a little taller would be nice but overall we are completely pleased with this net. We picked up an extra 24" piece of 3/4" pvc and cut it in half to make a second spot where we can use the poles - one halfway down our driveway and one closer to the end- and put the net where it works best for whatever activity the kids are doing. The 30' net is perfect for our 28' wide driveway and set up at the beginning and rolling up when finished take about 3 minutes each. Initial installation took less than ten minutes and required only a hammer or mallet. I was afraid it would be annoying without the automatically retracting version but I think this is actually better as there is nothing that can break or go wrong with it and rolling it up is easy.

Great product
We love this product. It catches balls when they roll down our driveway and gives our kids a visible boundary. It is also nice alert to people driving through our neighborhood. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that the pole got bent one of the first times using it. I think one of our neighbor kids was over playing and may have been a bit rough with it, but I was hoping a 5 year-old couldn't bend the poles so easily. We have hard, rocky ground, so we did have trouble getting the PVC into the ground for the poles to go into, but that is our land and nothing wrong with the product.

Highly recommended
Our driveway slopes slightly towards the street, and this safety net has kept our kids safe for years. They don't drive into it with their bikes much, the bright orange is just a very clear reminder 'This far and then turn around', but when they were still learning to ride their bikes it did occasionally happen and the net caught them just fine. They could go around it over the grass, but they're old enough to know better. I would not have trusted a toddler or preschooler to play unsupervised on the driveway anyhow, even with the safety net. It also serves the purpose that approaching cars don't drive into our driveway when the kids are playing outside. Keeps them safe in that way too. After five years of much use, it finally started to sag and we replaced it. We do take it into the garage after play. I don't see why a retractable would be better, it is so easy to just fold this one and put it away. Highly recommend it.

Hard to Use in Clay Soil
The net and materials are great, it’s the perfect size for our driveway. We can’t get the pvc pipes into the ground because we have hard clay soil and it’s almost impossible to get them into the ground without digging up a huge hole and burying them. If you have hard soil, you risk damaging the pvc pipes they provide unless you dig a large hole to place them. We will try to wait when it has rained some before we attempt to place them again.

Did not work as advertised
The net does not hold up straight at all. We tried wrapping around and still was lax.

Not too shabby
Purchased this with the hopes of keeping all the sports balls in the yard. Needed something that could easily go up and be taken down or moved as needed. It also helps deter toddlers from darting out into the street. I purchased two of these! It was so easy to set up, just make sure the ground pipes are on an angle and there’s no sagging in the middle.

Non-traditional usage but still works great...
Backstory: we have 5 sons and a basketball hoop in the back yard. We also have a 6' wooden fence bordering us and the neighbors behind us. That said, basketballs go over the fence 2-3 times a day and it's frustrating enough for us and I'm sure even worse for our neighbors. We knew something had to go above the fencing to stop this from happening again.I was going to order a volleyball net at first until I came across this "retractable driveway fence". I noticed one of the reviewers had the same problem so I figured to give it a try.Below is what I used, as far as tools and additional supplies, to make it work. It took under an hour to put it up once I got everything, that I didn't already have, from Home Depot. Exactly what I wanted!

Affordable quick fix solution.
Comes as advertised. Simple fix to act as a barrier to deter kids from straying towards unwanted areas. Clever and strong enough kids will find a way through so make sure you still have eyes on them.

Driveway safety net
This is exactly as I expected and I am happy with it. Once the posts are in the ground the net is easy to place. Rolling it up afterwards take a few minutes but is easy. I would recommend this product.

Works great for its purpose
Installed this one between and top of ours and neighbor's fence to catch my teen's basketball. He plays at the backyard (with a pre installed concrete). The ball only went a few times over for overthrowing of whatever. But it prevented most of it to go over and me having to knock their door. (I got a really nice neighboor too btw)
