CTCStore Detachable Nectstrap/Lanyard for Cell Phone & MP3 (Black)

EDIT: the lanyards I purchased were from CTCStore, a vendor not currently listed.I bought this lanyard, to replace a Sansa E280 lanyard that is no longer available. The price was fantastic, and The lanyard is of the highest quality, but I thought the shipping of $4.50 per unit was a bit high. I had planned on ordering 3 lanyards but was not going to pay the shipping on each. The USPS postage was marked as 44 cents.Update: Second thoughts, as another reviewer pointed out this item is only $2.25 + $4.50 shipping for a total of $6.75. This lanyard is worth that price and more. I purchased a second one for a new camera that came with a very cheep lanyard.The vendor explains their reason for the shipping and thus lowered the cost of the item to compensate for the high shipping cost. Like many reviews stated, mine also came with the brand "Sandisk" printed on the lanyard. For my use (safety strap for camcorder in a car) this wasn't an issue, but I've detracted a star in my rating due to it not being as pictured. Otherwise it's a lanyard and has a quick connect to attach the large loop to the small; it does what it needs to.Update, 5/3/2012:I recently needed a second lanyard so I went to Amazon and looked around. I found some which _were_ black without any logos as pictured here:  COSMOS 5 pcs Black Neck Strap Band Lanyard For Camera Cell phone ipod mp3 mp4 and other Electronic Devices . The fabric material is different from this (the COSMOS ones feel cheaper), but they are less expensive in quantity and don't have any logos on them.

I was still trying to find a replacement for the lanyard that came with a (really) cheap MP3 player that I used with my Sansa E260 that ended up getting stolen. I've been through numerous types and haven't been happy with any of them until I ran across this one.The strap is wide enough so that it doesn't cut into your neck, yet not so wide as to be uncomfortable. It is quite flexible and the edges are smooth. The fact that it is detachable makes it very convenient when I want to just lay it on the desk connected to my computer's speakers. No jumbled up mess.I understand another reviewer's concerns about shipping costs and to be fair, a similar thought struck me when I saw the $.44 postmark. Ultimately, however, the total of the item and shipping is still less than what I paid for any of the other lanyards I have. The seller's profile has a link to shipping rates which explains their policy. Their logic makes perfect sense to me.Psychologically, it kind of bugs us to pay more for shipping than for the product, but you have to look past that and simply see it as paying seven and a half bucks for the item. In my case, I ordered on a Wednesday night, (late) and got it on the following Monday. The alternative was to go to the Big Box store and pay twelve bucks for a product inferior to this one. And this really is of better quality than all my other ones.

I ordered the pictured item a year ago and was very happy with the plain black 3/8-inch wide lanyard I received. Unfortunately my cats liked it too and chewed on it in several places.I wanted to order three more, so I went to my Accounts file, clicked on this purchase, found the same picture and expected the same wide, unadorned lanyards. Instead I received three 1/4-inch straps (too narrow for the weight of my cell phone), labeled "SanDisk" all along one side.I paid $3.50 apiece on these a week or so ago, and see that the price is now reduced to 99 cents. Maybe they are worth that much! I'm disgusted with this deception, but returning them would be too much trouble.Don't trust this seller!

It would have been perfect if it didn't have SAN DISK written all over the strap. No one in the product description or picture can I find any clue that it'll have San Disk written all over it... Now I don't want it
