Strong, easy to use and safe!
Yesterday I got a 30k forklift stuck outside in the snow, so I grabbed these shackles and a tow strap and yanked for an hour to get the forklift back in the building. I put enormous amounts of strain on these things and not only did they not break, they came undone easily and I’m ordering more. Seriously though, these things are AMAZING!

Not rated for vehicles more than 3,920lbs.
It's misleading that they don’t show the WLL for this shackle. The WLL is the weight limit it can handle over and over and is usually 1/5 the minimum breaking strength. MBS is what it takes to break on the first and only application of that weight. WLL is the standard you use when working your winching calculations. So if the MBS is only 29,700 lbs that means the WLL is only 5,940 lbs. Usually you calculate so your WLL is 1.5 times the weight of the vehicle. So the weight of the vehicle these should be used on is only 3,920 lbs. These wouldn't even work for a small jeep. Not listing the WLL is irresponsible.

Skeptical - but it works!
So, I was skeptical that this little deal would work, but it does. I pulled the wife's CRV up a fairly steep hill (with her in it covering the brake) and it had no issue at all... was easy to attach and after I released the tension in the winch line, was a piece of cake to take off... I might even buy another one as a spare.

Perfect
This was a gift to my son for the front of his Jeep. He said it is exactly what he wanted and works great with his wench.
