DONT BUY THIS
1998 toyota carolla. If you enjoy spending an hour or two tinkering with a light switch just to have the cruise control not work buy this product. I cant tell you how frustrating it is to bend your body and hurt yourself to save a few bucks not buying the one from orielys just to have it not work. This product shows up if you type the oem part number in. It doesnt fit anything it claims to. It doesnt work for cruise control once its in. Please do not buy this product. All it would take for this seller to know if thier product works on a cruise conrol carolla is to put one on and test the cruise. They havent done that because if they did they would know it doesnt work. If you take your 20 bucks and eat it at least you will only waste your money and not your time.

Sent me a bad switch
This brakelight switch arrived with black sharpie X's written on its exterior. This caught my attention immediately, since that is exactly how I mark a bad switch. Before trying to install, I checked the contacts with a voltmeter. Sure enough, the contacts were intermittent and sometimes read over 50 Ohms when it should read under 1.5 Ohms for the closed switch state.I suspect I was sent a return from another customer, I am really glad I didn't bother trying to install this defective switch since it takes a half hour to install in a Tacoma based on limited working room under the dash.

Fixed an issue I had for over 10 years!
This switch fixed an issue I have been having with my Prius since the day I purchased it. The car sometimes would not start and I could not figure out why. When I took it to the shop, they blamed the battery but I knew that was not the issue. Finally after over 10 years, I figured out what it was and fixed it with this part! Installation was not that easy but that was not the fault of this part, it is because it is so tight in there.

Wrong part for 2005 Lexus RX330
Definitely not the right part for the 2005 Lexus RX 330 for the following reasons:1. Overall length is 1/2" longer than the OEM one. Good luck getting it into the insanely tight place it needs to go into. The only way to get it connected was to cut the back of the socket on the switch.2. Pinout is different. On the OEM, the large connectors are closed when the pedal is not pushed and open when it is pushed. The small connectors are the opposite. On this switch the large connectors function the same way, but the small connectors do not connect.3. My brake lights worked, but cruise wouldn't work. When you stepped on the brake with cruise turned on the cruise light would start flashing. You could turn cruise off and then back on again, but you would have the same issue when you touched your brakes.4. While driving, it felt like brakes were on5. Final straw was when the car was almost immobilized and the ABS lights, VSC came on solid.Took it out and put the old switch in, (Much easier installation) and all problems were solved, except now I'm stuck with the wrong switch, that I've altered and cannot return. The proper switch is:STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS SLS360 switch

Old one was easy to remove
part it larger than OEM switch. Old one was easy to remove, new one is very tough to install due to the increased length. Had it installed for weeks without any issue. Old one would cause multiple lights on the dash to come on randomly. New part has never caused this problem. My wife drives this car and never uses the cruise control on her drive to/from work. I drove it recently and tried to set the cruise and it would not work. Checked online and found out that this can be an issue with this replacement switch. Picked one up at O'Reilly's today for about $40. The Beck Arnley switch was a huge pain to remove. The one I got from O'Reilly's is the OEM length and was simple to install. Just went out and drove it and confirmed that the cruise control is now fixed. Can not return this part since it is been too long since I purchased it. So I am out $18 with a useless brake switch.

Works great on a 2005 Camry
Works great on a 2005 camry. The switch is a bit longer than the stock unit but there is enough room on the camry to install without issues.

Did not fit my 2001 Toyota Solara
This did not fit my 2001 Toyota Solara. It’s longer than the original switch. The switch isn’t bad, it just didn’t fit my car so I had to return it.
