Modern Concrete Construction Manual: Structural Design, Material Properties, Sustainability (DETAIL Construction Manuals)

The book is excellent. I have almost the full set of Construction Manuals published by Details. This book, like the others, is a valuable resource for those in the architecture/construction industry. The layout is efficient and clean, and the volume is packed with information. The case studies and construction details in the 2nd half of the book are excellent. If you have an interest in modern design and construction, I highly recommend the "Construction Manual" series.Unfortunately, as has been the case with many book's i've purchased on Amazon, this item arrived poorly packaged and as a result the corners were damaged during transit. I don't understand why these items are not shipped with more care. For a $150 I expect the book to arrive in mint condition. Unfortunately three of the corners are slightly damaged.... which is frustrating.

Books from Detail magazine surely provides sufficient theoretical and technical base before proceeding into actual detail drawings.
