Q: Can it cut in a 90° straight line?

To ask this question I can see that you are new at woodworking . First of all you need a mechanical system that can hold the blade rigid enough to make it do what you are asking .This saw will work with material of thickness of up to about an inch. After that you will get some blade walk . How do you solve this? just cut outside the line allowing for the error and use a router with a template and a bearing to finish your cut and you will get the professional results you are probably looking for . I want to build a few guitars and this is what I'm doing with bodies and necks. I've had several shops with thousands of dollars worth of tools and this will work for me with the right setup. I'm doing this with my hobby in mind and it's good enough for me .
