InterDesign Foaming Soap Dispenser for Kitchen, Bathroom, Sink, Vanity, Pack of 1, Clear/Brushed Nickel

We have owned older versions of this dispenser and they are both attractive, durable and work well. This is no exception. It even has markings to mark the recommended water to soap ratio. We have always found the recommended ratios provide a less soapy foam which quickly disappears. Our ratio is one third soap to two thirds water. Personal preference. Good news it is easy to adjust it until you are satisfied with the foam.

I love this dispenser. I use foaming soap in my bathroom and kitchen, and I purchase large refill bottles of the soap so I'm always refilling the bottles I have. But I'm never happy with the flimsy bottles in which the soap originally comes. The pump mechanism makes those units top-heavy so they topple or slide around when you push on the pump. But these InterDesign bottles have a larger round base and are much more sturdy. Plus, they look much better than the brand bottles! The brushed chrome finish matches the hardware and other accessories in my bathroom and looks like it belongs as part of the decor.I loved this enough to purchase a second one for my kitchen and I've had my dispensers for about a month now. The pump mechanism has not stopped working on either bottle. I'm currently using regular liquid soap mixed with water (amount/ratio indicators on the bottle) instead of foaming soap and it works great! Given what I paid, I'll be happy if these dispensers last a year.I did deduct a star because one of my dispensers leaked. At first I thought I and my guests were just going through a lot of soap during the holidays. But last night I filled the bottle, dried it and set it on a dry paper towel. Sure enough this morning approximately one inch of soap had drained from the bottle. There is a seam on the bottom of the bottle and I suspect it was defective or was damaged in the delivery process. I'm returning that bottle for a replacement since my other bottle has no such issue. The Amazon return process is pain-free, so this was an easy decision.UPDATE: I received my replacement bottle and when I was transferring the soap from the old to the new, I noticed that my old bottle was actually cracked. I'm certain this was not a defect in the bottle. In fact, I'm probably the one who dropped it and didn't notice it had a tiny crack in it. I notified Amazon that I would not be sending it back and to simply charge me for the replacement but they told me to keep both bottles and they aren't charging me for the replacement. THAT is customer service! I've added in the previously deducted star. Thank you Amazon and InterDesign!PS - the pump on my dispenser is still working fine. Based on my experience with other foaming soap dispensers (and some of the other reviewers' advice) I'm sure it will be a matter of running hot water through the mechanism to loosen and dissolve dried up gluey soap when it does happen.

This foaming liquid soap dispenser looks good but the pump is junk. After 2 weeks, the first one just totally quit pumping - checked it out and couldn't find any reason for the malfunction. Tried to return the item, but they sent me a replacement instead. It has started malfunctioning too - putting out very little soap - and getting stuck in the down position - having to manually pull it back up each time to get it to work again. Cleaned it as much as possible which made no difference - just getting worse by the day. There is NO reason at all for putting out this kind of junk and other pump tops don't fit the bottle! - We have cheap plastic ones that have lasted over 2 decades with no problems. We do not recommend this one. Don't buy it!

Looks great & last well. I love the foam hand soap. I make my own recipe now with 1/3 Castille soap, rest water, & 3 drops of vitamin E, 3 drops of jojoba oil, 3 drops of glycerin, & 3 drop of essential oil. All that may not be necessary, but I like the way my hands feel soft & clean.

The best features are the broad spout which is easy to use and distributes a good dollop or foamy soap, and the fill lines for soap concentrate and water.Like all of these units, they are prone to sticking after one or two fills. Here is the secret to maintaining them: pull out the top out of the unit, exposing the piston mechanism. Using a toothpick carefully apply a SMALL amount of silicone grease (available in plumbing supplies) to the sides of the pump housing, reassemble, and work the pump piston a few times to distribute the grease. Voila. Like new. Repeat when needed, as the grease will eventually wash away.

Har nu haft pumpen ett tag och likt alla liknande pumpar blir dom sämre och sämre att pumpa med, så snart dags att köpa en ny igen.

Super Teil. Man braucht viel weniger Seife, dadurch dass man hier mit Wasser mischt und Schaum rauskommt. Lässt sich auch besser auf die Hände verteilen.

Funciona perfectamente. Genera una espuma espectacular y esto con solo una 5 parte de jabón (el resto es agua que se añade).He probado antes otros dispensadores de otros vendedores y todos he devuelto por que no funcionaron.INFO: El recipiente transparente es de plástico rígido, la válvula también, pero de muy buena calidad. Me hubiera gustado tener uno de vidrio y válvula de acero - pero me va bien tal como esta.

Il a aussi l'avantage d'avoir un flacon transparent qui permet de visualiser le contenu et qui est facile à nettoyer.Malheureusement, après 1,5 mois d'utilisation, la pompe reste bloquée en position basse et il faut la forcer à remonter après chaque utilisation. S'il existe une solution pour un retour au fonctionnement normal, merci de me la communiquer.
