I do cook/am a foodie to some extent, so most of the other baby food cookbooks were way too basic for me- and also not a reflection of what my baby will be eating when she joins the adults in a few months. This book has great pointers and has given me plenty of inspiration as well as little nutrition facts with some of the recipes. For instance, we love the mango/coconut milk/chia seed purée! I didn't know how healthy chia seeds were until this book. It's also not overly preachy or paranoid like some of the other baby cookbooks! That being said, they are all pretty out of date on the most recent medical info on baby food allergies. My baby likes things super puréed so far (she's 7.5 mos) so she does better when I poach vs steam, and I just blend the poaching liquid in with the food to keep whatever leached out of the food during cooking. As for the others I bought: baby food bible: so-so and spent too much time trying to convince me to do what I was already planning to do (hence buying baby cookbooks). Had some good advice on knowing when baby is ready to start solids, etc. Top 100 baby purées: return for a refund. First of all, many recipes are not purées so the title is misleading. It's just also not good. I'm shocked that it's rated so highly and that the author is famous for this stuff. Cooking for baby: my second favorite. Good information about which foods cause or relieve constipation, good for herbs. The baby and toddler cookbook: this one is fine. It's just middle of the road for me. French kids eat everything: I loved reading this book and it has some pretty decent recipes too. It helps you feel calmer about food allergies etc when all the American baby cookbooks can get you a bit worked up. I also love the idea that they have that we should think about our kids as just little versions of ourselves and that they should eat essentially little versions of what we eat. I think that is just an amazing idea, where most of us are thinking that babies and kids need special foods and to be different, but they really don't. Some helpful things I also came across in the book were reasons to cook at home, what foods to not give to the kiddos, when and how to introduce both purees and solids, storing purees. I also love that the book is broken up by age, that is so helpful! I am excited to dive into the 12 month section, then the 24 month section. Two recipes I am so excited about for the 12 month section is the sesame tofu stick and health shepards pie. I received this book for an honest review.

Bought this with several other books but this the only book I follow, it has amazing collection of recepies and ingredients was selectively designed to help little tummy to digest better and helped my baby's constipation. Good buy

Nice gift for new mom
This book, Little Foodie is great for mothers who want to feed healthy food to their babies from the start. In part I the author write about the different foods served to babies around the world. According to her a baby can eat anything as long as there is no family history of allergies. It also tells you what foods to avoid before 12 months age. The recipes are divided by the age. They all look very yummy. I wish I had this book when my children were young. It is a very nice gift to give to a new mom. These days most people are leaning towards natural and organic foods free of chemicals and preservatives. You can make these foods, snacks and smoothies. These can be frozen in a freezer tray and thaw when you are ready to feed the baby. This way less is wasted and you’ll know what your baby likes. A nice way to develop your baby’s taste for different foods. I received this book free in exchange for my honest opinion.

I bought this book on the recommendation of a friend while trying to find recipes for food that we could eat along with our daughter. I am a terrible amateur cook and easily overwhelmed by recipes with more than about five ingredients, but Little Foodie is presented in a pleasant and colourful layout. Each section begins with an overview by the author sharing her personal experiences and advice. The recipes are separated by age group and cover everything from simple purees to finger foods and meals that the whole family could enjoy. The bright pictures make even simple pea puree look like something I want to snack on. Beyond all of that, though - they are easy to follow and taste delicious! I use the pear and clove puree in a chunkier form in my oatmeal, and the baby also loves it. 'You Put the Lime in the Coconut' is now a beloved family curry dinner recipe with the addition of some salt and other spices for adult palates. As a full-time worker outside of the home and a part-time student, I find these recipes some of the easiest to fit into my schedule and am looking forward to trying more.

Amazing book!!
I have completely fallen in love with this book. It grabs you from the first chapter "Babies are People, Too" That chapter is worth the price of the whole book. I learned a lot from it! And it is so interesting to learn what foods babies from other countries start out with. Then you get to the recipes. Recipe after recipe of delicious foods for baby. They look so yummy, I would totally be stealing bites from my baby! And super healthy. Nothing but organic and clean eating. In the end there is a chapter for recipes for 2 and up, and a lot of them make enough servings for the adults, too, so these are recipes you can use for your family dinner. And delicious! I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are completely my own. I can't wait to put these recipes into action. Such a great book!

Bought this as a gift for a foodie friend who is expecting. She loved it right away! A great gift. Recipes are simple and not very difficult to make. Has vegetarian options as well.

I simply love this book I use it all the time make yummy food for my baby, my toddler and my family. I gave it to a friend for a baby shower gift and she also loves it. Definitely recommend!
