They work great!
Just what I ordered them for. We did have to put curtain clip rings on though. Not a big deal and they look nice.

And I like that look
I have a basement guest rooms and I used the longer rods so they could either over lap each other or I used only one. So for example, if my window is 24 wide, I prefer an overall length (unextended) that was 28 or I could even use 30 inch. The screws that came with these rods are really ok for sheetrock. These were hung on a concrete wall with stronger screws ( that I bought myself) and also used those plastic inserts that strengthen the screw and I needed a drill for concrete. A few inches on either side of the window helped ensure the concrete didn't crack by being too close to the edge. And I like that look. I could open the curtains, a few inches, without swinging them open with that longer length. There are two sliding rods within each. One pulls out for extended length but the longer the inner rod is extended the weaker the whole unit becomes. I used 36 inch long curtains. The rods are very sturdy. The trick, for me to buying these is getting longer length rods. They are so much stronger. Tilt-up basement windows mean you have to place these rods up high so the window can still open, if you want the curtain still closed when it is open for privacy. The little ball shape on the ends help keep curtains on rod because for me, basement windows are up there and I grab the base of the curtain to swing it. We have 8 foot basement ceilings. These are the VERY BEST and heaviest and strongest swing rods I have ever found. Got them in Gloss White. I have used swing rods in basement rooms 6 times before these.

Use very light panels
Dry wall anchors bend very easily when put in wall and the longer you try to expand the curtain rod it starts to tip downward

Perfect for corner windows!
I have been searching for three years to find a workable solution for my two corner windows. All of my other windows have black out curtains because I am a movie fan and I enjoy my sleep. These swivel curtain rods are perfect! I can open them fully, or I can tie them back and let my cat enjoy his cat treat. The only negative is I needed to use one of my own molly’s as the molly anchor provided did not hold. That’s the four-star’s for sturdiness.I highly recommend the Urbanest swinging curtain rod.I am so happy I have them!!

Meh. Not impressed! The other negatives reviews weren't ALL wrong!
Not impressed! To start there are some minor pin head chips in the white paint when I opened it. I'll see how it performs before I decide to return this. For now its installed. And Why don't these come as singles as well as pairs? I only needed ONE! I guess I have a spare or maybe I'll find a use for the other one.The instructions are VERY "meh". The pictorial diagram doesn't match the actual wall bracket and doesn't show the wall plate. There are 4 screw holes shown in the bracket in the instructions, while the actual bracket only has 2. ( Can't remember what was shown in the posting description.) Not a good design, 4 holed bracket would be better! The written instructions aren't very well written, either. (Geez just use good pictures/diagrams numbered in order! ) Happy I've done so much DIY, so I could figure it out!I'm mechanically inclined, and I have no idea why locking washers are included. I used heavier screws and wall anchors then those that came with it. They may have been adequate, but from previous experience with wimpy hardware that failed; I prefer to do something right the first time. (Repairs from faulty or inadequate hardware are a PITA! )The rod DOES sag!!. I put a couple of washers (one of my own) between the wall plate and wall, around the bottom bracket screw to bump out the bottom of the bracket, to help with the sag. It "helped" but did not solve the issue. (Maybe if I'd used a piece of a shim?) I think part of the issue is the hole that the arm sits in in the bracket is too large so there is room for the arm to sag.It looks better than the PVC pipe I was using as a curtain rod before, to cover shelves, and I can now swing it 90 degrees to help darken a windowed door at night. So mission accomplished.

Sturdy. Not easy to hang for black curtains.
I have hung many curtains—- 8 moves in 15 years. This is the first time I had attempted to hang a swiveling rod. It seemed simple enough. But, you have to consider the weight of the curtains (for me 3 black out panels) over a 9 ft “decorative door”.After 30 minutes and a bit of frustration, I ended up hanging a standard rod.

Exactly what I needed
Perfect for my third floor patio single door - always for curtain rod that doesn’t block the door opening

well they do swing…
The price is good but the rods are uneven quality, meaning some install well and maintain a level, swinging arm but the other rod may not, so it sags at the pivot point and isn’t adjustable. They’re easy to install.
