A Good Value - works well can perform below rated input voltage.
I bench tested this item to determine its specs. For a 12V input across a 3 Amp current draw with 1.5A nominal I get a load regulation of 3.6%. Voltage did not go below 4.9V unit drawing over 2.5 Amps. I was also able to draw 2 amps and keep output voltage above 4.9V with input voltages of 6V to 24V. During peak and overload current draw the regulator stayed cool to the touch.I bough this to operate an Ooma Telo from a 12V battery backup. This is to keep my VoIP system running during a power failure. I am very confident that this regulator will work for my intended application

Great power supply, cheap
Good output regulation, worked well for my application. I'd recommend individual downstream filtering (inductor & cap) if you are powering multiple devices where one or more is logic and another is noisy like servos, etc. But, I recommend this for ANY supply, so there's that :) BTW, I have *no idea* why Amazon asked me to rate this supply's "Warmth, Sheerness & Thickness"... There is just no accounting for some things lol

Solid 12v to 5v
I'm using this for a small robotics project where I have a 12v battery pack for motors but need 5v for controllers/Raspberry PI. This worked great.

Appears to deliver as advertised...
Connected to .5 ohm power resistor. As it turns out, you need to be sure you are using heavy enough wire and solid connections to deliver 10 amps to the load. On first try, only measured 3.5 volts at the load but measured 5 volts at the converter, which means I was loosing 1.5 volts just to the poor connections. After increasing the wire gauge and improving connections, connectors, converter is now delivering 5 volts to the load resistor, meaning it is delivering 10 amps.

Perfect !
I use this to covert higher dc voltage to 5 volts dc to power my 18650 battery charging boards in my railway flashlight. Works perfect and waaaay better then using dc buck converts. Doesnt get anywhere near as hot as those little junk boards. Highly recommended these for any 18650 lithium projects running in 1s configuration.

Great for a motorhome while driving or parked.
Very handy. I'm using it to power all my 5vdc stuff in my motorhome off the battery. I have both cellphones, tire monitor, HDMI spliter, video converter, and 1 8" GPS and a 10" tablet all at the same time and I don't have all the separate power supplies all hanging off the cigarette lighter plugs. Much neater , no rats nest.

Died the first time I tried to use it. [UPDATED 12-12-2018]
I hooked this up to a 12v power supply in my house, to test it, right after I got it, and it appeared like it was going to work. The input was 12.37V and it was outputting 4.98V, with no load applied on the output. But, as soon as I put this into my circuit, and tried to test it with my load in place, it worked for about a minute, then went dead. The only good thing is that whatever protection circuitry is in place in the thing, at least kept my raspberry pi from getting fried.[UPDATE 12-12-2018]While I was not happy with the product dying on me, a couple of days ago, a representative from BINZET contacted me, offering to either replace the product with a new one, or refund my money. I chose the refund option, as I have already obtained a different regulator for the project I was working on. I have to say, I may have had a bad experience with the product, initially, but the company appears to care about their customers, and they really wanted to make the situation right by me. I appreciate good customer service, so I am raising my rating from my initial 1 star to 3 stars.

Simply works and does it very well. Response time is perfect!
This works perfectly for me on my M38A1 Jeep. I use it to step down the 24v brake lights and power up LED strips for added safety. The standard Army issued brake lights are not that noticeable and with this powering additional lights it adds that extra safety margin for you.I just split off the left rear light 24v feed wire and connected this to that power source. Then I connected additional LED lights and wallah, I've now got additional brake lights on the back of my Jeep and still have the originals. Got to love that!
