Excellent chromebook
What can I say:Pros - battery life lasts a long time; the screen is clear and the touch screen works well; android games work*; no problem playing HD content from netflix or youtube; and the expandable storage is a bonus.Cons - *some android games can be a bit glitchy ; and there is the occasional time the android emulator crashes when in tablet mode (this doesn't crash the laptop though).Overall - excellent value for money and ideal as my nine year old first laptop. So good in fact i am hoping my laptop breaks sometime soon so I can get one!

Size of a piece of A4 paper. Battery life lasts me 2/3 days. Love it.
Size of a piece of A4 paper. Battery life lasts me 2/3 days. Love that I'm able to flip it into different designs that suit me: cinema mode etc. Brought this Chromebook on the recommendation of an IT friend, we particularly went for this one as it’s superfast, especially considering the £199 price tag- and does exactly what we want, you can download apps as well from the google play store so in a way it’s a bit like an Android phone or tablet. There's double the RAM and storage as my old one, the build quality is very good, the screen has good colours and contrast and seems a bit sharper. It has Gorilla glass screen protection and a much better and fast more powerful processor. All in all a great Chromebook with some great features and great for the price, we would definitely recommend this.

Multi-functional laptop/tablet
I love this laptop, its great as a tablet and as a laptop. The battery is great it lasts for most of the time that I'm using it for, which is usually around 10 hours. I usually split my time between laptop and tablet, I like using both, it's great using the keyboard to write but I also love using the Touchscreen, it's very responsive. The sound is good, not brilliant but it's alright for everyday use. I bought this when it was on a deal, but I think it's definitely worth the money without that deal as its so good for everyday use. I use it to play games, watch YouTube and netflix, listen to Spotify, go on the Internet, read through kindle; it's a multi-functional laptop that works as a tablet as well. I like that you can use the play store on this to download apps like a phone or tablet, but it's a bigger screen so that's a definite plus. All in all I would definitely recommend this laptop.

Wrong model and colour arrived
Chose the black version of this laptop. Received a silver one and a complete different model. I ordered chrome book acre 311 and got the chrome book acer 314. Completely disappointed as I heard of good reviews for the black 311 laptop. Still the one received does run smoothly and camera quality is fairly good…so guessing I’ll keep it for now.

Why pay for more?
I have just has and returned an ASUS Chromebook C223NA which was a nice chromebrook but I wanted more such as the 360 flip and touch screen. I've read a lot of reviews and watch a lot of videos and settled for Acer for this purpose. Whilst I was interested in the Spin 13 at £500 it is bordering a moderate windows laptop in terms of spec and territory and I associate chromebooks with low spec and price. Whilst a Pixel or higher price chromebook is what I'd love at £800+ it is too much for what they are. After much deliberation I went back to my own spec of low price, touch and flip screen and checked what was available. I was apprehensive at ordering this model with an AMD but given that it is about £80 cheaper than the equivalent with celeron and offers the same performance and battery I decided to take the jump. From taking it out of the box and booting up I can confirm it does linux apps, google play and the screen is nice. It's not full HD, the web cam is usuable and the keyboard feels a little clunky. The laptop overall is a pleasure to use, the peformance is as good as the celeron which what was in my asus. I've ordered a stylus and I believe for my 5 weeks travel in a back pack it will be great. It is built solidly albeit 0.5kg heavier than the asus but feels more flexible with the screen and chrome OS is just simple and not bloated like windows. Plus if it gets damaged or stolen I do not really care at £250.So in all, don't bother with the more expensive one and save the money. Don't bother listening to the reviews or watching the youtube videos. It just works and yes would be good for kids.

Faulty hinge and no customer support
Great Chromebook, touchscreen is very responsive, fast to load, great display, but after only 5 months of use it now will not fold back from tablet to laptop as one of the hinges have jammed.. Cannot get through to Acer support to speak to anyone, and the call backs never happen. Now stuck with a useless laptop and a very disappointed daughter

Outstanding laptop for light usage. Great battery life.
I needed a device at a reasonable price point that was secure, reliable and wouldn't run out of battery rapidly. Also, something that could run a wide variety of productivity apps. This does all of that and more. The Google Play and Linux support give this device a good selection of apps. The battery lasts for eons. Perfect for productivity, not so good for gaming and high end multimedia. But, home office work and school work, exceptional. Easy to use, versatile and very reasonably priced.

Great chromebook!
I actually bought this model of the Acer Spin 311 CP311-2H as a mistake, thinking it was the Emr pen compatible one. I preferred this model for the extra storage though, so kept it. Brilliant machine for the price! And I bought a high-precision capacitive stylus and it works amazingly well, so I got what I wanted anyway in the long run 😁. Great for digital art, browsing the web, I even stream box sets directly and there's no lag or download issues! Also played several games and they work well too. Very happy!
