Uni Alpha-Gel Shaker Mechanical Pencil with Slightly Firm Grip 0.5mm, Chrome Black (M5618GG1PC.24)

even though the grip is described as "hard," i still consider it quite soft (but not too soft for my tastes); it seems softer than my pilot dr. grip pens, and those are considered to be soft. it also has a neat locking feature, which enables you to turn off the shaker function so it doesn't dispense lead while rattling around in your pencil pouch or backpack (if the clicker is all the way down, then it's "locked" and you can't dispense lead by shaking; you can still do it by pressing it halfway down to advance the lead. if it is up, then it is "unlocked," and you can advance lead by either shaking or clicking halfway down).i'd say the only 2 downsides are that the eraser is somewhat small (but honestly, you shouldn't use the small erasers on top of mechanical pencils to erase your mistakes; buy one of the staedtler erasers and use that instead), and the fact that this pencil doesn't have a tip that can self-retract to protect it. but other than that, i have no real complaints.

I have bought one of these from a different seller a month ago but unfortunately lost it. I bought it from here since the color seemed to look better but the trade off wasn’t worth it! Looking at the pictures you can see how it’s untightned and how it won’t tighten back.When ever I write with this pencil the portion above the grip just keeps popping off! I have purchased many mechanical pencils and this is the only one that let me down. Not to mention that the grip was filthy when i got the pencil so I had to wash it!

I really wanted an Oxy-Gel pencil because I know that the grip is really soft, and I really needed it for my writer's bump. I saw this pencil online and I instantly fell in love with it. It looked visually appealing and the gel seemed like it would be really squishy, which would really help my sore finger. So, I bought it and waited excitedly for the Oxy-Gel to arrive in the mail. When it finally arrived, I took out the pencil and found that I was a tad bit disappointed. The pencil looked exactly like it did in the picture and all, but I have a few complaints about it. First, there were a few scratches on the pencil. Second, the gel wasn't as squishy as I would've liked it to be. Compared to my friend's pencil (whose Oxy-Gel has a really squishy gel) the gel that I purchased felt like those cheap pencil holders that you get from the dollar store. However, the eraser on the top of the pencil didn't bother me at all, unlike some of the other people who got annoyed by it. I do admit it's small, but if you have another eraser with you, I find that it's no problem at all. Also, I like how the pencil seems to just glide across the page when I write, as it's incredibly smooth. All in all, if it wasn't for the stiff gel and scratches, I really would have given this pencil a five star review.

The pencil lead breaks easily, the spring that is inside the pencil bounces around. The cap for the eraser is slippery and small. The pencil looks great and feels nice in your hand. That is the only thing I like about it. Not worth the money at all. You will eat through lead very quickly because it breaks and then doesn’t stay tight when you press on the lead. It goes back up in the pencil 95% of the time. Very disappointed.

This pencil has a really squishy relaxing grip and the lead does not break easily and always stays sharp! However you have to press the top button like a pen and it is supposed to secure the pencil tip...however it does not do the job, you shouldn't worry about this, though. It shakes out lead really easily..you can shake and press. If you open the lead compartment(upper half of pencil) you can take out the shake spring(very easy to take out and put back on)and it won't shake anymore. So there is use in two ways. The eraser is okay and erases well, however it is quite small. Overall this is a awesome pencil to use, at work, at home, anywhere! This is the number one comfy pencil and really is good. But for people who don't like the comfy grip the Pentel Sharp pencil is also a recommendation. For me, I like this Uni Shake Mechanical Pencil better....^^

This pencil is a shakey, so you can either dispense graphite by clicking the top of the pencil, or shake it downwards. One thing I like about this pencil is that you can lock the shakey feature by pressing longer on the top clicker.The grip on the pencil is really soft, which was beneficial because I was writing a bunch of personalized thank you cards, so this pencil saved me a bunch of resting time between drafting and inking the cards.The pen itself is also really sturdy, and I foresee myself comfortably using this bad boy for a while. The color isn’t bad either, but that’s personal preference.

Although the shaker feature was quite a trend when I was in elementary school, when I actually bought it in middle school, I quickly came to dislike that feature. It was both loud and annoying. The grip was more rubbery like a tire, compared to the Alpha Gel mechanical that does not have a shaker feature. The body was flashy and seemed to be made of cheap plastic. I would definitely not buy this pencil again.

Package arrived today, but somehow the details of this says it will arrive 2/13 - 3/9. Not only that, but people say the body is black and the gel is blue, which is not suggested on the picture of this item. I guess it depends when you get it. I recieved mine that looked exactly like the picture except, the body was turquoise. Even though some things are misleading, this item is great, the gel is a bit firm, but I prefer it that way. Everything works fine, the gel was squishy, it is a shakey, and the color was gorgeous. BUT, the item that was inside the package was slightly open and a little of the lead stuck out (my first though whan I saw this was that they opened a little gap in the empty package and stuck the pencil in it to make it look "new", this is why a star was deducted). GREAT PRODUCT THOUGH!!!

このシャープペン、芯出しをシャカシャカ機構に一任していて、尾部のノックスイッチは芯をロックするか否かのトグルスイッチになっている。（普通のシャープペンのように使うには、ロックする直前までチクチク押せば良いそうだが・・・）なので、普通のシャープペンを使ってると戸惑うことになる。またシャカシャカ機構も、静かなオフィスではやや耳障り。ちょっと使いづらい。書き心地はこの価格帯としては満点だし、ペン先も丈夫で壊れにくそう。だけど、その芯出し機構の作りが気にいるかどうかで評価が大きく割れそう。（書類作成中に、尾部をノックして芯をだし、再度書き始めたら芯が引っ込んで（意図しないで芯がロックしない状態になってしまう）イラッときたのは数限りなし）

昔から愛用しているシャーペンです。もう何本リピートしてきたことか。書き心地、グリップのもち心地に申し分なし。授業中、なにかと暇になれば常にぷにぷにして触ってるし、グリップがもちもちしてるから持ってて痛くない。何といってもアルファゲルの中でも一番癒されているシャーペンかも。とにかく最高です。
