Hotel Safe Lock

When traveling abroad and staying at hotels, I always stress out about keeping my passport and personal belongings in hotel safes. This product worked well for me and gave me much needed peace of mind. Easy to use but make sure you get a good lock to go with it. The lock that was included didn’t seem secure.

The lock works good on flat front safes. But if the safe door is inset they don’t work or can’t be used.

We used this Milockie Hotel Safe kit on our recent vacation to the tropics. We paired it with a really good lock as the one that comes with this kit is not sufficient. With that combination, we felt safe leaving our passports and phones and valuables in the safe .

This is very low quality and does not work. The strap is cheap and it is impossible to get this on tight enough that the strap can’t just get cut to remove this device. I would not waste your money on this like I did.

The time and idea behind this is great. However, please note that it comes with a really flimsy lock. My husband was able to cut it in minutes so we had to go out and buy another sturdier, better quality one (we were traveling to Thailand and needed the added security for our own peace of mind). After about 3 - 4 days, the cloth part of it began to fray from opening and closing the door to the safe. I will be posting pictures soon.It is a great idea for sure. However, not worth the price because sadly, we won't be able to use it again since the cloth has frayed.

Just provides an extra layer of security to in room safes. No matter what hotel you're staying in at least one of the person has a key to the safe. Sometimes several people have past keys. This is started enough to discourage most thieves. If it's tampered with the damage will be obvious. I do recommend .

This handy product should prevent access by hotel personnel into your room safe. You can easily find videos on you tube of how to open any hotel safe. This product is stout and the hasp is big enough to allow use of a high quality Master lock. The lock supplied with this unit is a puny TSA type lock. I would replace it.

It is true as other reviewers have said, that it is hard to get the strap tight enough that it couldn't be cut through by somebody determined, but the discouragement factor is probably key. Also the lock it comes with is a joke, so you add to the expense by buying a stronger padlock. The instructions were also hard to follow, but it was easy enough to figure out how to use it with some trial and error. You should know also that using the darn thing adds considerably to the time needed to get into and out of your safe. But with all those negatives, I gave it a four because the peace of mind factor is important, and it serves a purpose for which there's no alternative.
