Just a waste of time and money. I paid to have these locks installed, and then got to pay to have them removed and replaced. If you have nothing of value to lock up, these look just like a real lock...but they are not. I did not do it but I bet I could break one open with my bare hands, no tools, I am not a strong man, these are made so thin that any thinner of metal would be aluminum foil. I REALLY spent only $10 more per lock, the difference was incredible, each lock set weighed about 3 times the weight and you can easily see the quality difference.

These doorknobs definitely have a different feel than the expensive ones. And they don’t always move smoothly when you try to unlock or turn them. But for the price, I’m going to say they get the job done.To reviewers who are worried about how easy these are to break into ... If you are very worried about security, you should get a more expensive knob. But I have windows. If somebody wanted in my house bad enough, they would just break one of those. I trust this set to#1, remind neighborhood kids and other visitors to knock instead of barging in#2, slow down the bad guys if we were home for a breakin#3, show some physical evidence if bad guys break in, so I can know not to enter the house alone.

After buying our new home I used these to change out 5 doors with both knobs and deadbolts and of course all open with one key - can save you $500+ by not hiring a locksmith.. They provide 6 keys in every one of the boxes, so you’ll be sharing/tossing/recycling a LOT of spare keys!The only gripe I have is it’s a pain getting the screws to line up in the knob. If you find the deadbolt is off-center remember the twist and turn to extend it.

The locking sets with dead bolts are AWFUL!! They are all in pieces with no instructions to put tiny parts together to even make the deadbolts. Then, EVERYTHING IS BACKWARDS!! Up is down and sideways is up. The locked position on the knob is flat and unlocked is vertical. The deadbolts is also wrong. Unlocked is horizontal and the locked in vertical. Also the deadbolt is very loose!! I am returning everyone!!

I should have just went to the hardware store and got something, but I tried to save money and bought these instead. Our son moved into a new home so I had to replace locks on three doors. After getting through the 2nd door and cussing during the whole thing I would not recommend these. Cheaply made and one of the units was defective so I couldn't use it on the 3rd door. I learned my lesson! Glad that is over, but still, it's a shame they make products so cheap these days and get away with it. I hope this helps others to move past these and buy from your local hardware store so you can return them if they don't work. I was not about to remove them to return them to Amazon. It took me over three hours to do two doors! Not because I can't install door hardware (I've done this all my life) But because they are so cheap and the functionality is badly engineered. I could never get one of the handles to lock if my life depended on it. At least the deadbolts worked.

I consider this to have been a good purchase. The new knobs look great and function property EXCEPT for one. There is one knob that you have to turn to the 'left' to open it. All the others open regardless of which direction you turn it, so it does appear I got one 'oddball' out of the lot. But for the $$$, I'm very pleased and thankfully the 'odd ' knob is on a door we don't use very much ! All of these are keyed the same and come with way more keys than you'll ever need. I think it was 3 keys per lock so about 18 keys for the 6-pack.

I have been trying to get around to replacing the locks on my house for about 3 years since I purchased it because all 5 external doors had different keys due to construction over the years adding new french doors, etc.I wasn't sure what to expect due to the relatively low price of these new locks, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality. They are very sturdy, and each dead bolt and door knob has 3 keys for it, so in the end if you are installing all 5 you end up with 30 keys to your house. You may think this is overkill, but I find it refreshing that even my kids can't lose that many keys... =)

I’m very happy with this set! Several reviews have knocked the quality but these are extremely sturdy, have good weight to them, and feel higher quality than what my house had installed. Everything is keyed the same, all my locks match now, and the price was extremely reasonable (and a whole lot cheaper than having a locksmith re-key 10 locks). If I ever need to change my locks again I’m coming right back to this set. Installation simply involves 4 screws (2 more if you change the strikes) and takes about 5 minutes (unless you’re installing from scratch). I should have done this months ago.
