A good, clean mystery for teens
I purchased this without knowing it is meant for teens. I have read several of Debbie Viguie's Psalm 23 books and a couple of her Samantha Ryan novels. The three series have different audiences and tones, and Viguie moves from one to another with seamless skill. The plot of this book is age appropriate, but I (an adult) also enjoyed it. Viguie is a Christian, so you don't have to worry about the book sending inappropriate messages. Her protagonist, Candace, is a high school senior in this book, struggling to find her own identity while juggling school, work, a guidance counselor who seems to doubt her abilities, and her first boyfriend who may not be the best match for her. In the process, she discovers she is braver and more capable than she imagined. I look forward to reading more.

Great follow-up to Summer of Cotton Candy
Debbie Viguie continues to use her quirky imagination to create "roller-coaster" adventures for Candace, who rollocks her way through the fall season of a well-known amusement park, yet manages to learn important spiritual lessons along the way. Definitely for adults as well as young adults!
