Use elf's setting spray and this product will leave you glowing!
The media could not be loaded. I usually don't buy an elf product without extensive reading of reviews because a lot of their products seem to be hit-or-miss. A little background: Some of my first makeup experiences were with elf products and I do like most of the ones I buy, and this highlighter is one of them. I was scanning the review page here and I just had to help everyone else out. I bought this a week or two ago from elf's website. It is small yes, but for the low price I can't really complain. I own theBalm's oh-so-famous Mary-Lou Manizer which is around $20-25 for 0.3 oz, while elf is marketing this baked highlighter at $3 for 1.6 oz. More product, less money, and the reviews/pictures were stunning.I admit when I first swatched it I was disappointed, the lack of pigmentation got me so discouraged I didn't even use it until today (and I've had it for about 4 days now). I had an idea to help pump up the glow, so I sprayed elf's mist and setting spray on the product a few times (6 inches away or so) because I knew the spray is known to help boost vibrancy with eye shadows... And wow! The powder turns a bit creamy and the amount of glow I got just from a swatch made me swoon! I love my Mary-Lou Manizer but as a mother I need all the help I can to save money, and beauty is an important part of my life so I'm glad I purchased this product. If you love lots of glow, I recommend purchasing this along with their setting spray (which would cost about $6 or $7 together -- a STEAL compared to higher end brands. Check out the video to see what I'm talking about!

Wonderful product...overpriced
I have been using this Elf highlighter for many years. It's become difficult to find and I really adore it. Hence, I paid the ridiculous price from Amazon. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. It lasts a long time, but the price more than doubled in approximately two years. Still a reasonable price for the performance and quality. I actually ordered a second one, just incase it is discontinued. Also no problems with the second order.

Best. Thing. Ever.
I have to admit I was a little baffled to see some less-than-favorable reviews on this because my experience with it has been AMAZING. It is exactly what I wanted - a highlighter color with a little bit of shimmer. I have happily and successfully used it as an eyeshadow all by itself, as the lightest shade of eyeshadow in conjunction with darker colors, and as a highlighter to brush across my cheekbones in lieu of blush. I love that it's self-contained in its own little pod. (I never seem to go through colors evenly and hate carrying around whole pallettes, even relatively small ones, with only one or two colors left). I didn't have to break it or anything, as other reviewers have mentioned doing, and I am extremely pleased that it doesn't require a brush. I just swipe a finger through it and apply and I'm done. It's clean and easy and quick and fantastic for travel or busy work or summer days when you want to look nice with no fuss. I've gotten lots of compliments on it.Other people have said it doesn't show up on them at all, but I have pretty fair skin (usually second or third darkest foundation available in any given line, for reference) and it shows up nicely for me. Your mileage may vary, but I'm a fan!

and I live in a humid climate and makeup pretty much melts off
I've been wanting to do the whole contouring thing, but honestly it just takes to much time and effort for me and my lifestyle, and I live in a humid climate and makeup pretty much melts off. This has worked really well for me. I use this e.l.f baked highlighter in Moonlight Pearl on the top of my cheekbones, Tarte Park Ave Princess Bronzer on the bottom of my cheekbones and the outsides of my forehead, and Maybelline instant age rewind Brightener under my eyes, and some eyeliner with a base of Tarte BB cream, and it is awesome! The e.l.f is not supper easy to get out of the compact, but I just used my nail to loosen it up, then the top of the compact to distribute it evenly on my brush, and it goes on nicely. It is so inexpensive I love it. Compared to spending $25 for the comparable product, I can totally live with this.

Elf baked highlighter Apricot Glow
So I’m not trying to rip on this product, just prefer others. First of all - value for money- it cost me like 35% more on Amazon than a local ELF dealer (grocery store, pharmacy) - but I live far away from such things. My skin color is fairly “tan”. Kind of an olive skin going on. VERY light brown/blonde-ish hair as a youth, yet skin that tans easily. Tricky to find foundations that aren’t too light or dark. I protect my face, but am outside a lot, and my skin holds it’s tan , so my face is always a bit pale looking. So I was kind of looking for something to kind of lighten a slightly too dark foundation or give it a sun kissed glow of sorts. The Apricot is not for me. It gives a thick ( not good sheerness) gold sheer as if I were on stage! It leaves me with a painted on look. After brushing round and smearing with my hands. (Ie not easy to use for me)I think this would be great for a younger person looking for that sprayed on magazine cover look as long as a strong dark gold is flattering for them.I also think it would be flattering for someone with really dark skin wanting to highlight their cheek bones when blush doesn’t stand out quite enough. But ya, it’s an odd color- the apricot doesn’t really come through. It’s as it looks, GOLD.And the texture ends up quite thick - it doesn’t go on as sheer as a true powder.A beauty queens dream, I guess:)Think I’ll try applying to my cheek bones tomorrow with my fingers as opposed to an all over brightener. But I doubt I’ll like it, it’s awkwardly unnatural looking on me.Hopefully it will make great eye shadow:):) on me or someone else:):).
