Quality product
Bought this loaded Strat scratchplate for a basic level Squire Affinity strat, to replace a HHS setup. The scratchplate fits perfectly and was very easy to install. The screw holes are in a different place than the stock one, but this is not a problem. The pickups are noise free, non-microphonic and sound very 'stratty' Very impressed and looking forward to gigging with them.

Not perfect, but good value.
Arrived in adequate packaging, but could have been better: a box and one thin layer of bubble-wrap. No instructions or diagrams. It was the first time I had attempted a mod of this sort, so that was not welcomeI swapped out the pickguard and pickups on 20+ year-old Affinity Squier Strat and although the wiring on this upgrade piece was good quality, I had to release some of the wiring between pickups from a cable-tie to make it fit in the actual body of the guitar.Once connected, it sounds very good, with much greater output. It will drastically change the character of a single-coil style guitar in first, third and fifth position, but second and fourth position still retain a distinct Strat feel.It is also worth pointing out there is no tone control for the bridge pickup. This is clearly visible from the wiring, so I'm not assuming that musiclily are misleading customers. Essentially, one tone dial is for the neck and the other for the middle pickup. This means there's no tone option for the bridge pickup position. I don't have a problem with this as the pickup itself is good and gives me what I would consider a nice rhythm sound once paired with the right level of overdrive/gain.If you are used to rewiring jobs like this, or have a mid-to-high end strat, I would suggest finding some more expert advice on whether to purchase and fit something like this particular product. However, for somebody looking to upgrade a cheap guitar without overspending, this is ideal.

Beware - warped scratchplate!
On delivery the scratchplate is severely warped beyond all possible use. The pickups are fine however, and it works out cheaper to buy the wired scratchplate then buying three pickups individually. Plus you get some spare pots and a switch.Fortunately I was not buying for the scratchplate as I planned to strip everything out of it, but if you are buying to use the scratchplate you might be dissatisfied. The warping I suspect is from long shipping journeys and warehouse storage with the weight of the installed hardware taking its toll after changes in temperature.

Not as good as I hoped.
For relatively small outlay, it almost does the job. Selection 5 does not work. At all. Tone makes little or no difference. The cabling is so large it’s almost impossible to fit snuggly. But it works better than the 35 year old original.

Overall, I'm impressed!
I bought this pre-loaded pickguard to replace the single coil pickups in my guitar and all of the electronics too. I managed to get them installed and they sound great! I especially like the tone of the mid pickup. The tone controls are responsive and make a real difference to the sound. Hum is minimal and the clean tone is nice and warm, and can be quite bright on the bridge pickup, which also seems to be a little higher gain than the other two. I compared these with the full size humbuckers on one of my other guitars and they compared very well. Given the price, the quality is really very good and the wiring and soldering was very neat. The pickguard looked fine to me, and was neatly cut and protected with a covering film, though I won't be using it. It came packed in a decent box which protected it well. Overall, I'm impressed!

Good purchase.
I was very sceptical about these pickups, but decided to purchase them anyway because they are very reasonably priced...i have to say im very impressed. Crystal clear sound to interference or buzzing...do a great job at beefing up your strat sound, not massively loud, but loud enough to beef up your tone while retaining the distinctive sound of a strat. They look good...they are well wired and they are a very sensible bargin. The tone pots work when turned to its lowest setting, not much change in between, but very capable of getting a variety of tones from the 3 pickups...very impressed with musiclilly....i will purchase more products from them based on this good experience.

Surreal. Drive like DiMarzio Evolutions, still keep a Strat feel.
Strong, focused sound with a plenty of high end. Still sounds like a Strat but also sounds MASSIVE. Turning the tone down a bit gives that traditional humbucker 'thump' to the attack and body. Best 5way selector switch I've ever used, even compared with premium guitars - very smooth and quiet.

Retains typical Strat tones
Surprisingly good for the price.ProsWill Fit standards Strat bodies. Was pleased that the in between, positions 2 and 4 tones, are still there.Positions 1,3 and 5 no longer noisy as with the majority of Strats with single coils.Impedances of around 9k so not hi power but significantly higher to notice a difference in output.ConsMini Pots and cheap 5-way switch will need swapping out with CTS/Oak Grigsby ones to achieves better range in tone and volume sweep but stock ones work ok.
