A lot of good information about a ... - Wonderful book. A lot of good information about a plant that is not known really well yet. Review: Just Magic. - Sally Gregson sure knows her onions, sorry I mean Epimediums. The author of this stunning book delivers a superb account of this genus. What a delight to find a book so up to date, on the species and hybrids. Not only are 123 epimediums described, but a clear photo accompanies each entry on a separate page. The previous and current hybridizers are given lots of detail of their achievements, and no doubt great plants will eventuate in the future. It opens ones eyes to how far this genus has been hybridized in such a short space of time. While 10 favourite epimediums are not advised, one can check out Keith Wiley's new book 'Designing and Planting a Woodland Garden', to see his favourite ones of the hybrids. Any one with the slightest interest in shade loving plants, and in particular epimediums, this book is a must read.

Meh. Good reference, bed photos.
Informative book. Disappointed in quality of photos. Issues with depth of field, fuzzy out of focus photos of foliage. Good for reference. Won’t buy other books by this author or publisher. Very disappointed.

USEFUL FOR THE EPIMEDIUM ENTHUSIAST
Its a very informative volume with wonderful photos, but beware falling in love with some of the featured cultivars if you are a U.S. gardener. Many of the cultivars originating in France or the U.K. are not available in this country.

Simply stunning. I fell in love with this genus three month ago. I purchased it last week. Everything ok. An exellent book for beginners rich of pretty pictures. I suggest it also about the advice who give about places to put them in garden. A beautiful genus to know and this book can help you.
