easy install
I installed my AMP research steps on a 2015 GMC Denali 6.6. I got them installed just under two hours. There is plenty of room for the cords to be fused.

FOR THE F150 2019 & 2020 RAPTOR NOT 100% PLUG AND PLAY
The plug and play is in response to the harness only not the entire system. The only advantage to this unit is be able to keep your OBD-II port open. I have seen people saying that it eliminates splicing which is not true. You still have to splice the trigger wires to the connector leads. If you use this harness or not you still have the same work to do as if you didn't use it. I still like the feature to be able to keep the OBD-II open which is why I bought it. Also on 2019 and 2020 150 Raptors the replacement OBD-II connector does not mount directly to the studs holding the factory OBD-II connector. Directions say to remove screws and reuse them. The F150 Raptor for 2019 and 2020 have stubs mounted to the vehicle with nuts to hold the unit not screws. The holes in the new harness are not wide enough to mount over both studs. I was able to use the nut on one side and a tyrap with a hole on the other side. The make tyraps with anchoring holes after the head of the tyrap. I ran the tyrap through the hole on the port. Placed the anchor hole of the tyrap over the stud and tightened it down with the nut. It was very snug. On the 2019 I just used the second nut to cinch down a corner of the port instead and it held very firm as well. I have the 2020 and a friend has the 2019.

Little pricy but you get what you pay for.
I was being cheap. I admit it. I got a cheap splitter when I installed my Power Steps. After a while, the steps would deploy/ retract when I started the truck. After some troubleshooting I found it was the splitter. Bought this one and problem solved! Buy once, cry once.

Only needed if not hardwiring steps
Do not get this if you are hard wiring to existing wires. Connects to the ODB connector.

Awesome, Just Know This........
I gave 5 stars overall because the harness itself once you get it installed is an awesome setup. Most know all OBD2 connectors and ports are universal, but be aware that unless you drive a GMC or a Chevy you will have to modify placement of additional (new) OBD2 connector from this harness. The connectors on this harness are universal only with the port connection not with the bracket that the connector will be mounted on. Brackets are manufacturer specific and in the case of this harness it is only compatible, without modification, on GMC and Chevy.

Works great but horribly expensive.
I installed this on a 2014 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 with 5.0 V8 and 5.5' bed. It was easy to install, by moving the existing OBDII port and rebolting the new one in its place. The Amp Research plug then is a direct plug and play into the extra OBDII port. No cutting or splicing is required. I can only give this four stars however since it is about 4x the price that it should be listed at. Nevertheless it works, and made the job much simpler. Therefore, if you don't mind paying for it, it's a great product.
